well cav's currently on gaybay so lets see what happens, so far have 1 bid from a breaker, i do hope it doesent get broken up, but hay once that cash is in my hand its no longer down to me.

Whats wrong with the Cav to be selling up so soon? Rare as now those 8) havent got the time or cash that is needs and its depressing stairing at it everyday :lol: needs windowscreen, timing tensioner and rollers, waterpump etc, most of the bushes id expect after its stood so long, bodywork needs at...

I know where there is a nice Ti in gunmetal grey ( i think thats what the grey is called ) has been lowered It has no MOT or TAX and has been in a garrage for the last 2 years work that has been done on it as i know as i done it for my mate Head fully reconditioned 16 new valve guids all seats re-c...

may well be selling up my cav 4x4 turbo project and corsa run about and coming back to the rover fold, would quite like anouther 620ti and quite like the thought of a 620 sdi aswell as a run about.
cav is pritty rare, but im getting bored of it even after wanting one for years

We just got a panasonic viera 37" plasma, love it so far, also heard there good , and certainly seams better then most of our friends tv's menu wise, ease of use etc. also makes my ps3 look stuff look stunning and i havent even hooked it up with a hdmi lead yet.

worth experimenting with if you really want to do it, its not like the 1.6 k series cant be picked up cheep enough if/when it does go pop. But if its your daily drive not the best idea .

Never paid attention to what my ti used , but it was very good on petrol , infact one of the best ive had in regards to that, strange as it was short journeys stop start driving. Dont drive like a grandad either.

yeh not saying it isent a good deal, an atleast its had all the work done, i uset to think i was a vaux man that strayed to rovers , soon realised that im really a rover man thats strayed to vauxhall

sell the vectra before it breaks. Those engines are a complete nightmare to work on. Engines in fair condition, runs well, no signs of hg failiure.
gearbox is good no issues there. unsure of mileage at moment.

I'd say it was probably worth £100 as scrap value. Cynical perhaps, but if it's a good car why didn't he spend a couple of hundred getting it welded up and retested? i know the person personally have done for 4 years now. he doesent see the point in spending several hundred in welding when he has 3...

hmm mite buy it to break it then, he wants couple hundred for it , engines sweet as far as i currently know , known the car for a while, its not a major shed , thought it mite be anouther project for me, maybe not then. was more that its convenient to buy as its only up the road

can get a 98 200 vi for cheepish, its a mot failiure both sills need replaceing, front brake discs are buckled , petrol tank leaks at the seam. few scratches, rear arches need attention, but all in all not too bad. only has the cloth interior, sunroof and boot leaks. Thinking turbo conversion ? hmmm...

well, sold my rover 45 today so spent some cash on the TI , its now had new oil and oil filter, new ht leads £35 for wasted spark ones :cry: :lol: new plugs also, while i was at it put new alternator belt on too as old one was little noisy. so bout £100 out of pocket , but was more then worth it now...

If there are any deep indentations of the fire rings in to the face of the head then you'll almost certainly be in need of a skim. To check for certain you need an engineers rule and some feeler gauges. I got away without skimming the head on my car but mine was in the early stages of HGF and hadn'...

as far as i can tell , there no sign of overheating at all... and looks like its only now starting to go, should i get the head skimmed, OR can i just clean the head and block and fit a mls head gasket ? change water pump etc and check rad and thermostat change at same time
