Re: Sykes ACR4 or pscan?
I don't know much about the Sykes offering so can't compare easily. Is the Sykes a stand alone product, the Pscan needs a laptop. You can get different modules for the Sykes but the Pscan will only do MG, Rover, Freelander and Mini. How much is the Sykes? How easy is it to use? Will it do other circ...

Hi Philip
Does one still need the hardware fix or has this now been solved through software?

No problem with it crashing when going back.

Re: EMS2000
It can read information not accesable through OBD2 in the ECU, it also reads ABS and SRS ecus and will be able to read the Pektron BCU at some point. On a mk1 it can read the 5AS unit and reprogram fobs.
Re: EMS2000
I read the ECU on my mk2 ZS180 today, worked fine although obviously I couldn't access the Pektron BCU.

I would love to make it work on as many Rovers as possible. The problem is getting access to cars to develop on. The older cars are getting harder to find. If people have spare ECUs that they can lend me I can often work with those. I think that my next target probably has to be the MEMS 1.6 with t...

Which is the best ZS? Is the 2.5 V6 worth a look? How does that engine compare reliability-wise to the straight-fours? The KV6 is a more reliable engine than the K4 with less HGF worries, main issue is the VIS failing but that is an easy fix and the clutch hydraulics are poor. For best MPG go for t...

when the tank ran up the screen and on to the roof it has pulled the centre down and away from the doors, because it has rubber tracks it has yet to put any weight on the hatch, looks like fun though.
