They were excellent with me when I was 19.

Elephant.co.uk FTW! Policy in your name and stick a female (with a half decent driving record) on as a named driver. I'm just turned 24 and only paying £500 fully comp for my clio 182! Also try Chris Knott...I was with them when I got my 220 Gsi T at 19. I had no NCB and a fault claim on my record ...

I thought they might but wasn't sure.

306 ones (if they're any different to the 106 ones) would do the trick then surely.

Bonnet lifters also come as standard on a 106 Gti.

Obviously the bonnet on the 106 is light as a feather but the struts have a fair amount of strength in them so I'd imagine they'd manage to support a 200's bonnet.

As already mentioned, it's a piggy back chip which allows a lot of adjustments.

They achieve good power gains too.

If you're after getting one cheap I have one for sale in the for sale section and will accept any reasonable offer for it as I'm saving for throttle bodies for my car.

Cheers,

I agree with the comments that imprezas are very over-rated! My old Gsi T used to absolutely destroy imprezas unless it was from a standing start and they launched it. Even then..it wasn't long before I caught (and passed  ) them. That was when I had the tired old 115k engine that was down on ...

My car (a genuine gsi turbo) states 220 gsi turbo on the v5. Its a 1994L reg.

I assume all genuine ones would read the same on the v5.

Most of the car is an eyesore but I do actually like the back if you get rid of the spoiler, put a decent looking exhaust on and paint it a decent colour.

Obviously a lot of work gone into fitting the back lights which look quite good imo. Just a shame he didn't stop there.

Who checked it for you because if they suggested that it could be either a snapped cambelt or a blown head gasket then I'd be dubious as these both show completely different symptoms! If the timing belt has snapped it will be obvious as if you take its cover off it will be snapped. Correct me if I'm...

As said, could just be a knackered spark plug, HT lead or anything simple like that!

Good price and prompt delivery. Can't ask for more than that. :D
