Re: Company name change notification

Don't think that would work - the company would still be UK registered. The European Commission will only issue/allow renewal of a .eu domain for companies that are registered or have a base within the European Union.

Re: Buying A ZS 180 wondering if anyone has some info on it.

Dead VIS motors are indeed a well known issue. I would also check when the cam belts were last replaced (if you don't have the tools/skills/inclination to do a belt change, they are a job which a garage will charge through the nose for: typically £500+ as there a three to do).

Re: only 14 taxed 220 gsi turbo hatch...2014 2nd quarter sta

Howmany left only gives taxed and SORN. It doesn't list those which are merely unlicenced, and from my experience with keeping an eye on the numbers of MG Express vans, I have been surprised at the number that can show as unlicenced and no MOT for several years (and you assume they have been scrappe...

Re: Insurance time - MG ZR turbo ?

Need to get mine declared for piece of mind from getting gip off the old plod I assume you mean notified to DVLA. If you haven't already declared it to your insurance company, you are not insured. Notifying DVLA is going a bit OT, but they will definitely need to be told the engine number/code of t...

.....For some reason I can't create a for sale post That's because you need to send a PM to admin@rovertech.net and request to be made an approved personal trader (it doesn't cost anything, but is to keep control of spam sellers and undesirables). Fuller details (including the penalty for posting w...

..... a private plate on now That will be why nothing comes up on the original number. As a guide, I have found that if a vehicle comes up on the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry (https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/), it hasn't been recorded as scrapped, and will show on the enquiry result if it has been ex...

Re: Elise parts

Have they acquired the tooling that was used for the PTP version? Not sure why one company buying from another should be considered 'fishy' though - it's quite normal. Alot of the parts sold by a great many MG/Rover, Land Rover, Caterham and Lotus specialists will originate from the same manufacture...

No, the buttons will not all operate through the same fuse - on a 2005 model 25/Streetwise, the alarm/security system, central locking, fog lamps, horn and drivers electric window (if fitted) are directly controlled from within the Pektron SCU. If the drivers electric window only works in one direct...

Two certainly did. Apparently MG Rover was to have made a donation of five cars to the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Service to enable them to offer a 24 hour emergency service (the air ambulance was only able to operate during daylight), but the company went into administration be...

Re: UKIP's top brass... a man of true Class

I strongly suspect the rise of UKIP is all media driven by Super scumbag Murdoch to appeal to disaffected Labour voters. Divide and rule etc. Then the tories stand a better chance of getting re elected. I rather suspect it is more to do with the degree of unease and disquiet felt by a significant n...
