Another F D H 'mine is bigger than yours' thread absolutely, and i'm sorry it's come to that. this was, at one point, the most constructive F D H debate i've seen on here and I thought we were getting somewhere for a minute - hence why i'm still here. it just serves to highlight what me and mach1ro...

doesn't make it inherently better

no, of course it doesn't, but it makes it more desirable to many people

yes, it's a very good point. but having said that, i've seen dozens of F D Hs and have yet to see a bad one.

cableguy, you are aware they weren't regitered until 1998, aren't you?
all this logger is just old ground being gone over and over again
you were the one that contested it, by the way.

is it possible to discuss F D H cars without someone ruining the thread with opinions we've heard before?

Just wondering where can this list be viewed?
http://www.rover-coupe.com/modules.php? ... 0390#50390
so what did you pay the extra for ?
perhaps it's the fact that the car is effectively three years newer?

some not understanding
that's exactly what i thought, and it really winds me up.

i'm good at biting my tongue normally, but for some reason i didn't this time.

anyway, shall we drop it now before i get myself into more trouble?

I know i'm not welcome, but i do lurk here quite a bit, and apart from my sig, i've never actively advertised the forum. i don't mean to rattle cages, and the reason i've not spoke up about the F D H debates much is i still don't understand what the problem is. I've never met anyone who thought thei...

I think he was referring to the old 3.5 litre Coupe, not the tomcat or the 800 come to think of it.

yes, that's possible.

but remember - clarkson did love the 200 coupe when he first reviewed it. and i never saw him write a bad review about it since.

i've seen a similar discussion about coupes. and in my opinion, it depends how you define 'classic' quoted from cambridge dictionaries online: Definition classic car noun [C] a car which is still popular although it is no longer produced: The Triumph Spitfire is a classic car. http://dictionary.camb...

Coupe FDH Register

over on the coupe forum, we've been compiling a list of all known and spotted FDH coupes, and it's brought out some interesting results. (certainly more than i thought we'd identify) we were wondering if anyone from rovertech can add to it at all? even if it's now scrapped, sold on, or not been seen...

it's a brilliant car, a bit docile and boring (but VERY economical if kept below 3,500 rpm, but after that, all hell breaks loose. once the VVC kicks in, (which happens gradually) it's very responsive, very quick, and as tommo said, it sounds brilliant. the website i find very interesting is: http:/...
