Old member, new (to me) car
Don't think I have been this way in years, but I'm back in Rover ownership so thought I would swing by and say hello. My normal daily driver these days is this: http://thumbsnap.com/s/DjMX0OEb.jpg http://thumbsnap.com/s/dBJYryRO.jpg 2011 XFR - 5.0 V8, 510 horses, just back from a new engine under wa...

Re: Rise in fuel etc made you think about giving up fast car
If petrol was that expensive I think a lot of other people would have a similar idea and Birmingham would look Saigon :D However a 4.2 litre V8 is not the most appropriate way to tackle a 10 mile a day commute. I contest that such a car is an ideal way to tackle a 10 mile commute! If you had to com...

Re: Rise in fuel etc made you think about giving up fast car
The Jag is without doubt the best car I have ever owned. Round town the air suspension and burbly engine make for a very nice experience. You can really hustle along as well if the mood takes you. However a 4.2 litre V8 is not the most appropriate way to tackle a 10 mile a day commute. If I had the ...

Re: Mrs's new car...
I bought the wife a swift 1.5 VVT GLX auto - its nice and nippy, really roomy on the inside despite the small wheelbase, rides and handles great at lower speeds, a bit noisy on the motorway- its gutless below 2.5k revs (mind you that's in comparison to my 4.2 v8 beast) but better as the revs rise. I...

Re: Vw to buy ferrari ?
Sergio Marchionne was interviewed recently and he seemed to be saying all options are on the table, and one was going back to the traditional 90% stake, which is what they have done now by buying back Mubadala's share. Seems to me they may float Ferrari on the stock exchange to be able to raise some...

Would prob be 4/5 years older th...

2 different things often get confused, sometimes intentionally by Daily Mail reporters, other times due to lack of knowledge. They are religion and culture. Subaru forester - quite a lot of kit for the money and in the right colours they can look quite good, as well as decent reliability and some off road ability: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1988141.htm - over budget a tad but it gives you an idea Volvo s60 - not a 4x4 but quite a nice comfy cruise...

How about a ZT cdti estate? I know you said premium marque(!), but you'd be getting a BMW designed chassis, engine with decent enough fuel economy AND buttons on the steering wheel- TV/sat nav cruise etc, they do look the business. Few plug and play bits and a bit of modification can see them up to ...

Lint Roller to start off with. If it is severely bobbled run a hair trimmer over it, will get rid of the worst of the bobbling. Then hoover with the appropriate small attachment. If you really want to go for it and can get hold of a vax or any other machine than can do wet vacs, use Astonish carpet ...

Over 6 months ago some nasty scrotes decided to break into my house, load my posessions into my 75 CDT and drive off with it. they have a bank of different stigs, depending on the car or vehicle- e.g. Renault F1 was Renault's tester at the time, Hekki Kovialainen.
