Re: What MPG from a 600ti ?
I get between 28-32 from mine, commuting 80 miles per day (round trip) over a mixture of town, motorway and B roads.

If people just carried on spending as normal then nothing would change. Unfortunately, people are unable to spend as normal because nobody will give them any credit and many people have had to take wage cuts or redundancy. Nice car by the way. If I wasn't looking to buy a bike I would consider it m...

Re: Emergency stop
Have to say im glad in a way they are making the test harder so it discourages some of these scooter riders who ride round with T shirts on and ride like tw*ts. You don't necessarily have to pass a motorcycle test to ride a low capacity scooter. I passed my bike test at the beginning of the month, ...

Re: Driving in Croatia
I was over there on business a couple of months ago. I found the roads similar to those in Spain. I think the only 'unconventional' road law that they have is you must drive with at least dipped headlights on at ALL times. Fortunately the hire car I had automatically switched them on with the igniti...

I have a coupe bootlid complete with spoiler in BRG. The spoiler is in reasonable condition, with the usual paint bubbling on the corners. The bootlid unfortunately has some bad laquer bubbling/ peel across the top of it though. To be honest I was going to throw it out, but if you wanted it you are ...

Interesting. A lot of FC policies don't actually cover you on other peoples cars, its an assumption people often make and some have felt the consequences (one member on here iirc), ie points on the license if not a ban for driving without insurance. Interesting. Every fully comprehensive policy tha...

Glennm255, whats unsafe about Rovers? Granted they wouldn't get four stars in the safety tests, but it's not like it's a French hot hatch (I believe they are mostly made from tin foil, sticky back plastic and bit's of chewing gum). I wasn't necessarily suggesting that Rovers are inherently unsafe, ...

Having driven both, I must say that the coupes feel much faster. The extra 30 ish bhp/ton makes a big difference I think. Handling wise, despite being a big car, the Ti isn't too bad in my opinion. In fact I would say that my Ti feels far stiffer and stable than my old VVC coupe did, although I do h...

In November last year I bought a 51 plate Astra DTi (3 door, SXi spec, with factory fitted SRi spoiler and wheels). Lovely looking car. The idea was that this was to replace my coupe, as I decided that it was about time I purchased something a bit more practical. The Astra was certainly this, as wel...

This is the inherent problem with journalism, in particular that of an automotive nature - often articles are based on the opinions of an individual. The writer does not like the Rover 800. So what? Actually, if you read the article he doesn't actually claim that it was a bad car, just misplaced in ...

To be honest I wouldn't worry too much about peoples perception of you or the car you drive. I certainly don't when I'm driving around in my Rover  Take one for a test drive and, if you like it, buy one. For the record I've driven both an F and a TF and liked them both very much. As said above...

I also think that the responsiveness in std form could be better. You can move the steering wheel a bit without it doing anything, and quick sharp movements aren't exactly it's strength. Do a bit of toe in and turn in will be much crisper especially with stiffer tyres, of course this compromises ty...

I paid £1800 for my VVC about 6 weeks ago. It's got full leather, a/c and FSH (although not all by Rover dealers). Oh and it had 71k on the clock. Needs a couple of minor scratches on the rear bumper sorting out, but other than that it's in pretty good condition. It does need an MOT and tax next mo...
