Yeah 130bhp, its a good engine for sure. That was with a decat though which I've sold, but it shouldnt be far off that even with the cat.

Rest of the bodywork is fine, no rust that I can remember seeing. I will take a closer look tonight when the car is back at home.

It happened to me overtaking a van on a stretch of local A road, luckily I wasnt pushing my luck and had plenty of space to safely get past, but it popped off as my rear wheels were level with his fronts, bit of a shocker and probably clouded him with black smoke, I assume it would still be fuelling...

420T's use the same boxes as 220T's. Mine is 40/70/110 indicated and on GPS my speedo is pretty much spot on.

Probably the same or very similar part, Grant.

I did this mod, while firming the gear selection up I feel welding up a short shift would be a wise mod to do at the same time, since the stick still feels as though you have about 1' of throw between 1-2nd, 3-4th etc.

I find searching takes a fair bit of finesse to refine it to what you're really looking for, people use different phrases for things than you might, so you looking for "me GTI VTACK conversion innit" probably wouldnt return anything vaguely useful, whereas "B16 engine conversion"...

My only critisism of the Halfords 150 piece is a lack of 6 sided sockets. Saying that they are generally for fitments to the small ratchets so its not such a problem as they done need to be quite so strong.
