AFAIK the gsi sport turbo was dropped mid 94 when the gsi turbo got side impact beams and the radio fob (fogs became an option at this point)

My gsi turbo has the black half leather and had the spats (no foglights or mudflaps though)

Also has the longer ratio box (130ish mph) maybe the sports had the shorter ratio box?

Some 420's have the shorter box, some don't. Mine has the same ratios as a 220/coupe turbo and apparently redlines at 163ish in 5th on 205/45/16 tyres :whistle:

420T's use the same boxes as 220T's. Mine is 40/70/110 indicated and on GPS my speedo is pretty much spot on. Bloody hell, i used to preach this also, and then someone 'corrected' me, does anyone know the definitavie answer??? I know of 3 420 Gsi T's which all had the long ratios and 1 Gsi Sport T ...

it a tested list of all sorts of rsts in performace ford. s1 270bhp is only doing 7.84 to 60 and a 15.49 1/4 mile!! Thats most probably down to the driver and traction.
