Very sorry to hear...

But atleast his Alive and well..

Hopfully your back will recover to full strength.

If your experiencing problems with your back i'll be happy to help with advice or even in person to help strength increas any muscle groups that may be at bother. Often they should supply you with Physio Therapy but its not always as good or as long as it should be.

Goodluck.

Holy bother.
I feel sick.
That is truly devastating.
Please pass on my best wishes to Jonny. I really hope he recovers fast.
That sort of injury is a nightmare.

He is one lucky pup to be alive, never mind uncut!

The car is gutting too, but that can be replaced.

Again, sorry to hear of the accident - all the best.

That is one buggered coupe.

Hope Jonny gets better soon, it's dam unlucky to have a crash like that, but to survive it after seeing the state of the car is very lucky.

I'm guessing he's spent part of the last 10 days thinking of what the replacement car will be though, and the mods he'll do to it when he's better.

I think I'll go and check the state of the rear tyres...

Proper job there!

Rotten luck with a blowout but luck definitely on your side to come away from that with your life, stuff a couple of broken bones! All the best getting back to good health.

By all means charm the nursies :P (a deckchair, cool beer, laptop and a spot on the lawn wouldnt' go amiss eh?) but keep 'em on your side - you don't believe how painful they can make a simple procedure unless you cross 'em!

200 again, or a CRX? (both with some 40mm ID T45 climbing frame added)

Come late to this thread, but I too was shocked when Si told me this week.

We all malign R8 Coupes for wibbly, not torsionally strong bodies, but it's got to be said, it peformed sterling service there - and Jonny's quick reactions saved the day.

Get well soon, look after yourself, and as everyone has said - Cars can be replaced, the next one will be bigger, better etc :)

I should imagine he is more annoyed at the fact of the state of the car than he is at his injuries though!

Si,

As you know mate i have been trying to call him, let me know when he is at home or in a ward i can give him a bell on, these dam 12 hour time differnces.

Saw the pics last week when Si sent them to me, just takes your breath away to look at a car that destroyed and know that someone is still alive and kicking.

Give him my best

Message from El,

Leave the nurses alone, but if you can't help it get as many phone numbers as possiable, and she hopes he's enjoying the bed baths :P

Extremely lucky indeed. I've seen less damage than that to a car where the occupant was much worse off. Stanmore is a center of excellence when it comes to spinal injuries. Worked there myself a few years ago so know that Jonny is receiving the best care possible for his injury in the country.
Wishing you a full and speedy recovery from here in New Zealand.

Good luck Jonny and I pray you have a speedy recovery.

I know everything happens for a reason but why Jonny and his VTEC :(

I hope it hasn't shaken you up too much mentally and you build another fine car one day.

Only just found this thread, and I am also very shocked at what I read and saw in the pics.

VERY glad that Jonny is ok, and as Gary said he's probably in one of the best places to be right now.

Si / Grant please send him my best wishes for a quick and full recovery.
