118 11shite!

Post by MarkCoupe »

My first ever rant is about the 118 118 service, what a load of crap, im so annoyed because in the old days you got an decent english speaking person who would take 10-20seconds to find the number and give it yo you.Now you get some malaysian lady boy who cant speak english and certainly cant spell, obviously(and its fair enough) theyve never heard of the loactions so have to triple check the spellings...ive just spent about 4minutes on it ive spelt out the company 4 times and the location 3times and they still cant tell me where it is, except theyve done it twice before(but my other half threw out my adress book) !!
Ahhhggghh
(Rant over)

Didnt they get all of these naff ones because they opened up themarket to competition?

I mean, 192 was such a massive monopoly, it was obvioulsy needed. I mean, it used to cost 50p or something? So what, i say.

I can think of more monopolies that need breaking into other than directory enquiries...

Just one point, if they cant get the number you are trying to get ask for a refund.

IIRC 118 800 was voted best 118 company by a independent servay
Or you can use bt @ 118 500

i remember the first time i used a directory service... was the time i got lost on the way to the RR meet at EFI tuning in fareham... phoned up from my mobile, he found the number then he just cut off... :|

So i'm waiting there, phone to ear for him to say something.... "BEEP BEEP, BEEP BEEP". Ah, so they text them to you.... lol. Had the nokia text beep at full volume against my ear... not nice.
