My 220 GTi is actually registered as a 220 GSi on the V5.

I don't know why, an administration fluff up at the dealers when it was first registered I guess. Just goes to prove that the figures quoted on 'how many left' should only be used as a guide.

Howmany left only gives taxed and SORN. It doesn't list those which are merely unlicenced, and from my experience with keeping an eye on the numbers of MG Express vans, I have been surprised at the number that can show as unlicenced and no MOT for several years (and you assume they have been scrapped but not notified correctly to DVLA), and then one suddenly pops up again as taxed and MOTed. Clearly DVLA aren't applying the fines for not declaring SORN as rigorously as they say they are

So I would think it is probably that there are a few other 220GSi in existance, and in useable/repairable condition which are simply unlicenced and not reflected in those figures.

Still few in total number though - good job you are looking after some of the ones that are left
