ROVER COUPE TURBO - STOLEN (Now Found)

Post by Colin »

My car was stolen today sometime between 09:05 and 17:35 from the University of Essex car park, in Colchester, Essex.

It's a Tahiti Blue coupe turbo. Has 17" League Katana wheels, Hybrid (huge) front mount intercooler. The AP Racing 4 pot brakes on the front also stand out.... The rear brake calipers/dust shield are colour coded bright red.

Please PM me or email me (colin@essex.ac.uk) in confidence if you hear anything or get offered parts.

Thanks
Colin

Yes, but conveniently it was pointing the wrong way so wouldn't have captured anything, apparently. Still going to ask to see it none the less. :x

It was used for a ram raid :o :o

Off to have a look this afternoon, police said it had few marks where they had got in, couple of dings to the rear bumper, and it wasn't drivable - hopefully the standard gearbox I had on it went bang when they worked out how to turn up the boost :D

Hard to believe it doesnt sound too damaged if it was used in a ram raid :?

Will let you all know after i've had a look this afternoon - just had it confirmed I can go see it :)

hopefully it more or less intact do not forget it will be classed as not drivable even if the headlights are smashed, so here's hoping to minimum damage.......

Been to have a look and its ok. Was reversed through a window at low speed, scratches around the rear end, no dents anywhere though.

The usual steering lock smashed, etc but nothing bad. Just got to make sure it's still straight and drives ok. Not heard engine running (apparently it smokes alot but it was anyway as the turbo I had on it was stuffed!)

Had only done 30 miles since they took it.

Has been in the compound for 2 weeks and no one informed me :o Not happy about that!

No pics as not really much to photograph :D

*Hopefully* it will be back terrorising the local roads in the near future
