Ok then lads..

www.oddkiddcreations.co.uk is where the Ford lads are based...

MAjority votes for a session later on in 2006 for better weather, and I dont think travel will be much of an issue either, so I'll try and get Elvington in the bag...

Blimey Neil that brings it all back, things have moved on a fair bit since then...for both camps!!
If you look close enough you can see me and mine a couple of times!!

Sorry Scooby-slayer back on topic.

I would be up for this, not in the GSi as Ian will have it by then but the Metro MAY be able to hold its head up to a half decent time :D nothing ground breaking though!!!

That was a top day and I have to say the ford lads were excellent entertainment. They were acting like complete muppets at times but I had to admire them and they were bloody funny.

I'd defo do another, but summut with corners is my preference to.

Aye, but don't they sell the for the same amount these days? Mines probably not even worth an XR3I!

That makes it fair to me :D

Remeber that day.

When you look back at some of the people there and what they have moved onto.

AndyR - still has the coupe, but has taken what 2.5 seconds off that time maybe more

Neil - ZS now (boring) ohhh and the special k ;)

Chris has moved on

Kai ran in JAKY, altho i belive Colski owned her then - Colski now pushing big power from a coupe

I have a video from the day somewhere taken from Phils buble before it recived its T16

The quickest time for a rover then was a 14.2

There are plenty sub 14's now, and a few sub 13's

Scooby, how have the times changed for the ford lads (not after a wall pi$$ing contest, just seeing how things have grown)

I'd defo be up for this. Think it'd be an awesome day. :D

Think my mate would be up for this (probably shouldn't ask him though as he'd put up quite a fight) but he's got a RST thats currently running mid 13's 1/4 mile IRO 120mph but is getting some more work done over the winter. Just depends if he's in the country when the event takes place.

I don't know that going from a 150 bhp (max) NASP to a ZS180 is that much of a step down. Although I'm looking forward to going from a 1.4 to my special K 8)

Thats a very good point Clare,

Always forget that your guys coupe was NASP, my boring comment was its now a std car (AFAIK) but then a very good std car at that.

Think there is a few people waiting to see what the special K can produce, me inculded

By being a VERY good driver I guess. You can tell the times are right based on his speed at the end.

Hi,

I actually liked the Coupe a lot more than the ZS to be honest, but the ZS is ok for a company car.

It ran just over 150bhp at some local rollers that where known to be conservative if anything, but it also had a really good flat torque curve/line! It always felt a lot faster than the figures would suggest.

For the 15.12 I think I just got a really good launch and got through the gears really quickly, I was suprised I got such a good time but the terminal matched what I had crossed the line at, so had to take it.

Cheers

Neil
