Max speed in each gear

Does anyone know what the maximum speed in each gear is for the 420 turbo (or 220)?

220 Turbo is 40/70/105/?/?. or thereabouts.

Heh, I always thought 40mph was a lot in 1st... my mate's been playing with his gears on his Omega V6 auto, if he restricts it to first it does 60-65mph before hitting the limiter

- second goes to 85+

yea my mates orion hits an indicated 55mph in 1st and its only a 1.6 ghia

Im not sure the 170 is correct- ive been in a 420t that hit the rev limiter in 5th (not mine), and, although that 420 is powerful, theres no way that could of been 170.

Its hard to say if this was the original pg1 or not though, so it could have different final drive

those speeds listed sound like a coupe box...420 box IS shorter.

Some 420's have the shorter box, some don't. Mine has the same ratios as a 220/coupe turbo and apparently redlines at 163ish in 5th on 205/45/16 tyres
