The thing about yours is its almost unusable. Just get it into the power band to feel that turbo really kick and you're doing 140mph in no timeraistlin295 wrote:Have to say, I like the stealth mode on my Ti![]()

NOBODY expects a Rover to have THAT sort of poke.
One of the best moments in mine was when i took a mate out in it for the first time. He used to rave a lot about how fast his minis where and even a turbo diesel fiat he had owned. We where chatting when we arrived at my test track. So mid convo I promptly floored it. I've never seen someone grab onto the door handle so quickly and go sheet white

Audi B6 S4 Avant
Rover 221 coupe turbo 255.5bhp & 256.1lbs/ft (in the garage)
Rover 214 Mk3 Turbo Conversion (in bits)
Rover 416 GSi (in the garden)

Click Here for my feedback threadHi,
I like the fact that you can spank much newer 'performance' cars, the fact that they each have their own rattles, squeaks and leaks (call it personality
), cost bugger all, but mainly I like the fact that they have a great community of owners willing to help each other out and support each other.
At the moment, my favourite reaction is Jase's after we put his NOS kit on, only running a 25bhp shot and a bit rich to boot, first words "it's a bit scary"
Cheers

Sorry to hear that! Perhaps I should have excluded 200 coupes or obviously modifed cars. Just that a 620ti or a vitesse looks so everyday and ordinary at first glance that they don't attract thieves. 420 has got to be similar too - boring boxy rover in a lot of people's eyes.simonptomcat wrote:WHAT?? For me its just surprising people, weather on the road or on the track. All it can do is be underestimated by the car next to it at the lights it often makes them look silly as it leaves 2 black lines on the tarmac . Also love the effortless power.
Will certainly miss the underdog aspect when I change cars

Not had any nasty suprises in the night have you Paul?raistlin295 wrote:Unfortunately, the local scrotes now know that there is something unusual about my Rover.
They don't quite know what, but it'd be unwise for me to park mine outside of my garage overnight
Can't post in the Classifieds forum? Take a look at this
Nice one leo .. keeping the rover name up there..
For me, they're so much more than people ever gave them credit for.
And made in england albeit with a few honda parts..(2/4/6/8's)
They have speed and soul..
