How many Genuine 420Gsi Turbo's are owned by us..? 2010!

After reading the update on the 220/420gsiT register that there are only 19 taxed and 28 registered sorn, and the combination of southsides old thread from back in 2006 coming back to life i thought that we should have an update on the ones that are on this forum.

just list name, colour and optional on registration (but prefered last three digits if you dont want to disclose all)

What's the current status of these badboys? Probably I don't want to know the answer but... does Rizzy still have 'my' old 420t?

My 420 was sold and sold again, but i believe the shell is now scrap. The engine lives on. In fairness it was a mega rustbucket..

Sad to hear However I finally feel some closure! (I may, just may, have mentioned a hundred times before how much I miss that car!!!)

Found the 'crack' thread in Bodywork/Interior so have replied to it with a little bit of blah. Hopefully current R8 owners can take preventative measures to stop this happening.

To be fair, Rizzy bought a 420 Nasp, in the same colour, and absolutely immaculate condition. pretty much all the underpinnings were swapped over. He's done your old car justice as such, would have been much more time and finantially worthwhile for him to break it, but instead it has been reborn in a shell without the rust or paint issues.

just want to add, my old 420, OIB 8538 is no longer "with us".

I am still gutted I missed out on a 420 about 5 years ago .

Just before I bought the Vitty from Dan a friend put his flame red 420 GSI turbo sport up for sale. He only wanted £300 for it, and while it wasn't "mint" it was a good original fairly rust free example. Pretty much exactly what I wanted. By the time I found out he had sold it. I was even more gutted to find the new owner breaking it on here only a few months later .
