Rover 25 1.4I fuel economy

Post by siw1800 »

Hi Guys,

Boring question, how much should I get to the gallon?? I guess 3/4 of tank is used urban, 1/4 on motorway. I am LIGHT footed, so should be reasonable. I know they give figures in the manual, but know they are part of the original sales patter. Wondered if anyone else was as anal as me and worked it out.

Thanks.

Simon

I used to get high 30s - low 40s in my 25 depending on type of driving and if the thing had decided none of the sensors were going to throw a wobbly that week.....

Too simple a question to ask what is wrong?? Recently serviced with new plugs, fuel filter and air filter. bit of weight in the boot but not masses.

Medium weight make a big difference??

Thanks.

If three-quarters of your mileage is around town then I'd say 36mpg sounds pretty reasonable?
