Do not use the T16 gasket as a template for a manifold flange.

Not that I'm saying you are, but just beware.

The distance from the port to the edge of the flange would be too thin IMO, so it would warp.

I never thought of that but it would be ok to use it for the internal dimensions but remembering to make the actual flange thicker, in stainless steel and all curvy like an F1 car...... 8)

which side goes where?

i have the flat 'matt' side up against the head, and the silver metalic perforated one facing the manifold?

either way its not leaking at the moment!

and for those with black and white TV's, the red ball is behind the green ball!

the pic isnt too clear on which side thats printed on?

Shiney side is manifold side- unless you have one of the expensive ones wich is shiney on both sides
