I remembered seeing some funny ads on MGR.org so went along to find them(have them found for me as it turned out!), so here they are in all their patriotic and blunt glory.

Looks like the MG X-Power to me

Rover/MG's attempt at a supercar. Supposedly available in any power level you desired, up to something daft like 600bhp.

I'm not sure, but I think it was one of the x-powers engines that was used in the land speed record breaking MG ZT-T which did 225mph.

This site reckons it was specially made for the record though, and was a NASP. I'm sure I remember it being supercharged - unless I'm imagining the boost gauge on the dash from the in-car footage of the run

the 225mph estate record setting one was meant to be 765bhp i think ? and apparently you were meat to be able to get in 1000bhp tune using nitrous if i remember right.

Never happened tho if the ~300bhp ones were that expensive the top one must need a gold mine
