as far as i am aware you have to get a car S.V.A'd if you want to fitted bucket seat, harnesses or a rollcage for the road to mate it road legal in the eyes of the law (onk onk)
and the seats and harnesses must be F.I.A approved.
i may be wrong that was what it was 2 years ago. havent check it recently.

Wee joe i think he was pulloing your plonker mate. As long as the seat is secure (ie when you give it a tug about it doesnt move) and the Harness isnt of the twist off style but has a seatbelt style clip on it then it will pass. It is only the "aircraft style" twist securing that isnt MOT legal.

I mot tester and to be honest it doesnt mention harness style seat belts or how to test them, in much detail, all i would do is check mounting points and all stitchings and make sure it latches correctly, also i would look at the label stitched into it and make sure it to bsau standards, I would only fail it if it didnt meet mot standards required

Mininutter i thinbk that is the reason while the twist off style clips wont pass is because they dont comply with the standard (even though some are FIA approved) and the normal seatbelt style clip is approved.

I would assume the FIA approved ones
