Uffington Meet - Sun 6th April! CONFIRMATIONS, PLEASE GUYS!

Post by Vard66 »

Ok, Changing the proposed date of the meet in an effort to get more notice and more people coming along!

The corrected date is now Sunday 6th April.

The route is as of yet undecided, but once Stef and I get a chance to discuss various options, we should get something down, or several variations, so we can allow for how far people want to go.
The barebones structure of the route as of this moment (24th March) is Start in the White Horse Car Park in Uffington, and from there roll out after a while through Wantage, and a couple of other villages - (and maybe some more roads including a short stretch of motorway to let us stretch our collective legs, depending on how far people are willing to go) - through to Abingdon, to a decent pub, the choice of which I shall leave to someone more local!

Chalked in for the previous date I had;
Din,
Stefaclese,
Yours Truly,
Rich_1988,

Juliangungho?
t666top?
absvicandmark?

Current (revised) list for meet, Ladies and Gentlepong... (As of Aprl 2nd)

Rich_1988,
Stefaclese,
Vard66,
Scott,
Din,
doughall,
jago,
philgold,
victor3,
BrackenFox,
absvicandmark (pending passed MOT)
600_Nutta,
juliangungho,
Jynx,
Tomcat_T?
Chewey?
'Mad' Ricky?

*Edit* I'm editing the initial post so anyone who reads from the first page knows who's coming and what the date is now set as!

Well I should have a bit of cash either way by then, with all the time off I'll have I might even have gotten round to fitting some of the upgrades I've accumulated for the car :o

Be lazy, by all means, just get a route done first. Then you can stock up a surplus of laziness...

I'll let him explain when I bring him along for the drive as my passenger. He's not missing it, I won't allow it. Even carless, he's not missing it.

well what happened wassss, there was this horse in this barn and then there was this fire... nah I went down a hill too fast (was only 35mph but apparentyl in the wet it was too fast) back end came out, tried to compensate, overdid it ended up on teh otherside of the road with an oncoming audi A4, was sure as hell not going to hit it and mess my insurance up so turned the other way mounting the verge sliding through about 10 metres of barbed wire fencing and posts then hit a double post affair, signed 30mph (entering) and ironically, (which my brother found most amusing) entering xxxx please drive carefully. pics to follow.

p.s ill probably go with someone else, since i own a vitesse it would be nice to be in something different!, ohhh my poor broken car.

well yea it would be but I never take the easy option, (actually thats not true) but anyway im going to try and pull the frame out using aonethr car and a piece of rope, then remove what dents I can, it still drives perfectly so If I can get the frame straightened again and the doors looking not so stoved in I can use it again for a while, the chassis doesnt look 'too' bad and it has 11 months mot and 6 months tax so I may as well give it a go, cant do any harm anyway!.
