personally i think they look a little dated.
Either the vitesse 17s or the 16" version of the SEi wheels which came on certain 800's would look alot nicer imo :)

One of the reasons I like them, actually. :) Also, they're a good part of the 'this is not a turbo-charged car' disguise. :D

I obviously won't vote but will say that I bought these from 'Mad' Ricky (black jacket / red sleeves, in the Uffington shots) for the princely sum of £24 .. for all four! Not even the slightest rim-dent in any of them.

Dressed them up nicely in new 205/55ZR16 Proxes T1-R and they feel great. Cumfy ride and still grip well. :) :) :)

They look a little too solid and bright for the sleeper look. I'd have been tempted to paint them a slightly darker shade of grey (mind you the brake dust will soon do that), otherwise a nice set of wheels.

The only choice IMO :D ;)

(Vic's wheels do seem catchy now I've looked at the pics a couple of times, still not for me - maybe in a couple of hours...)

look like metro wheels to me only bigger... don't like them as i've never seen that design or similar on any real performance rover. Not saying they haven't been but I don't familiarise them in my head with anything other than metro style or the wheel trims from a 214

Not my cuppa, but tbh it is a matter of personal taste.
If you like them then good.

I know the vitty's have been done to death but i do like them as they seem to match the age of the car.

When I saw your motor I did mention to Scott they make the car look very different tho :D

In that context, they work... but in every other way they don't...

The style of the wheels is too old for the car.

If you want it to be a sleeper, put it on steels with hubcaps.
Geo_coupe wrote:i quite like them, i reckon theyd be super cool if they had a bit of a dish to them!!
That would make them a lot better, dish = good... But I still dont think they would look right.

This man speaks sense.

They still maintain a sleeper element by looking factory, but improve the aesthetics greatly by being bigger and thus filling the arches better.

(and yes, I know they don't fill my arches at all, that will be sorted this week when I lower it)

perhaps a better picture would help matters?

More of a 3/4 angle with the front wheels at half lock.

I've got a set on my Mk1 but they do need a bead blasting as the lacquer has bubbled and flaked in places. They are a very strong wheel and I do have to say that they felt good when driven on.

Yes, much better.

They don't look bad at all, but I'm not convinced that they work with the more modern lines and styling of the 600.

hmmm.... I know its about as far from 'sleeper' as you can get, but I reckon if they were polished to a mirror shine they could look superb.

But for what you're going for, I think these would be much more suited...

Those ones do look like trims, but there are plenty (too many) cross spoke alloys out there.

A nice set of them in 16" would give the ride quality and 'not a turbo, nothing to see here' look. Imho.

But, the ones on it now are growing on me the more I see them...
