what colours were available for these cars from the factory?
reason i ask is i recently saw a coupe that was flip-painted, simular to the MG models but it was a strange champagne/yellowy colour in different light
the car was completly standard and was being driven by an old lady about 70yrs old doing 20mph in a 40mph zone.
it looked well looked after and was i think on a P plate
I ment to ask this same question, i saw a kinda burnt orange colour coupe in a scrap yard... thot it was a respray one but then i saw another one last week on the road....
Now the one in scrap yard the head was gone... it could have been the same one i saw last week but what are the chances of sum one getting a coupe out scrap yard and fixing the head on it?
Crome
ps. i saw the scrap yard coupe last year.

What is the silver/very light blue colour that is only ever seen on early cars? It's my 2nd fave Coupe colour after Polynesian turquoise/blue. It's definatly not Platinum, so could it be Quick silver?
Has anyone got a car in this colour?
I also liked the light metallic green/blue colour that was AFAIK only used on Rover 800 coupe's, it's the only car i've seen in that colour anyway.
Light shades seem to suit the coupe much better, but the dark colours with the coloured stripe in the bumpers/side mouldings are the best colours for the 216/220 hatch's! BRG/Carribean blue or Black FTW!
Nordic is a blue/grey. Anthracite is darker than charcoal and has a kind of blue flip in the right light. The bluey silver is Quicksilver which was replaced by platinum on the K-series cars.
lives by me russ... ye i see it every now and again .. i rekon she must of had it sprayed at some point... its looks to mint.. i saw it parked at the shops before

I think i may have seen this car today, Young asian lad driving it, completly standard but looked nightfire from a distance then i got close and it flipped to a gold colour.
With the discussion on nordic blue my coupe is nordic blue. Is currently in the cars for sale section on here with pictures if you want to see what the colour looks like.
