its the variable intake system on the inlet, shoddy design, oil contaminates the motors which open the butterflies in the inlet, rendering them useless, and also knackers the plenum @ £500

Can all be prevented with fitting a catch tank though
To readdress the balance slightly, the ZS 180 is great fun! My mum's is a lot of fun to drive and seems to get more attention than some more expensive cars! At her school the ZS got more comments than one of her colleagues got for her new Audi TT!
2004 MG ZT 190+
2001 MG ZT 190+
1998 Rover 620ti - SORN, but hopefully back soon!

Apologies - it wasn't meant to be negative to your particular car! Good luck with the sale, I would be interested in a swap if I did have a turbo Rover, but I doubt you're interested in my MGF!
sorry for slight thread hijack. - the new ved bands are just silly
plus, the banding for old cars is also silly- a humble Ford Focus 1.6 on an X-plate will cost exactly the same to tax as a Lamborghini Diablo of the same age. Fair? Probably not, but good news for owners of older high-performance cars.
(but great if you own a diablo)
o the ZS front, its not going to £400.
The 2.5 ZS between 01 and 04, sits in band K - 201-225 co2. at the moment, acording to parkers, thats £235 a year to tax, and next year will rise to £310 from what i can work out.
Annoying, but nothing that can be really done. Id rather pay it and drive a ZS!
