BRG 1998 VVC coupe for sale, sadly with hgf.
Its my partners car - she noticed the coolant was low, and on closer inspection we found mayo on the dipstick and under the filler cap.
The car has not overheated, and still drives, if you're willing to keep topping up the coolant.
The car itself has done i think about 140,000 miles.
Bodywork is not the best, the bonnet has crazed lacquer, and the spoiler has a bit of funny paintwork.
Mechanically, aside from the hgf, its spot on: we threw quite a bit of money at the car prior to its mot a few months ago:
1) new discs all round
2) new front pads
3) new down pipe and centre exhaust section
4) oil change and filter
5) new sills (the garage did a superb job here)
If someone is prepared to replace the hg, it would make a great runabout. Its a shame the bodywork is a bit tatty, because to drive the car feels great to drive, and its got a good spec:
1) sandstone beige full leather interior
2) air con
My other half has owned this for 4 years now. She's always taken good care of it, and up until now its been an utterly flawless car to own and drive.
Sad to see it go, but we just don't have the time, space, and skill to do a HG replacement ourselves. And its just isn't economically viable to pay a garage to do the hg.
Car its taxed and moted, can be driven away if you keep an eye on coolant level & engine temp.
Anyone interested, just PM me an offer!
pictures will be up when i can find some

Nice to see my old silver Coupe pop up in a photo again!
Still miss that car, shame the last photo I saw of it was it being loaded onto a truck minus engine.

Shame both ended the same way - the dreaded hgf
I really rate the K series vvc engine, in the way it feels to drive. But i'm going to have to now join the 'k series = ticking time bomb for hgf' camp
