I agree it's a quick car and all, but aesthetically it's not exactly great..... from what I remember there was rust, welded patches, faded paint, missing laquer, cable ties holding various bits in the engine bay together.....
So, in all it's a high mileage, 16 year old rover with quite a few bodywork issues.
IMO £1300 is too high, by a pretty dam long way.
I don't mean to be offensive or anything, but I think the value of it may be subjective.
im afriad im with you on this one. mechanicals were great, but the bodywork was getting quite shabby- 1300 can get you a lot of car these days. (shocking really. i remeber when i was at uni, that would barely get you a rusty old fiesta). And its easy to remeber a car for all the fun, and not remeber the hours of knuckle skinning effort to fix something.
Do people really make more money breaking a car than just selling it on whole thoug? Like leo said, its just a shame it wont go on to give someone the fun that he had with it. I also put a lot of work into that car with Leo, will be said to hear of its demise.
Will always have good memorys of driving around in the summer in our twin cars. may they both rest in piece:
cant be many 420 turbos left now
Leo- id love to have bought it and made it into a track car- somehow feels like it would have been a worthy retirement for her.
