For Sale Rover 820 Vitesse Coupe

Im selling my Vitesse Coupe, I have not used it since the tax and insurance ran out at the end of March. It always was bit of a luxury, and as I have access to other cars it is a bit unnecessary.
It is a lovely car and if I didn't need the space would keep it.
I have had the car about 18 months, I bought it from BobSLi on here for £1200. Here is a link to a thread about the car.
http://www.rt2468abcd.r8technology.co.uk/viewtopi ... 19&t=86327
There also some pictures of the car on my website soon after I got it.
http://www.rovervitesse.com/htm/coupe.htm
It is a much better car now than when I bought it and there is still 5 months MOT, it has done 109,000 miles, cam belt done 8000 miles ago, and an oil and filter change about 6 months ago.
Im after £1000 for it, I would rather sell to another forum member so its on here before ebay and autotrader.
There are lots of pictures below, I have left them full size so you can see all the details, please pm/email me if you are interested or have any questions.
The car is in Surrey.
Thanks
Jim

I remember you won this just at the end of the auction on ebay :) Iirc Rael was after spending quite a few bob on her the 12 months he had her.
Best of luck with the sale.

I looked at who wrote the thread and the first part of the title before I opened this thread, Jim, shat myself, thinking you were selling the fastback.

Good luck with the sale, mate, car looks simply gorgeous.

Hm, Dan, I think, that you might be right; - but only on that one point.

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps... I am over-punctuating...

I'm more than happy with it mate. Though it's taking some time to get used to the size of the thing, it makes the old Galant feel like it was small

That looks like a tidy one mate :) I've been out for my first proper drive in mine tonight and was amazed at how composed it was, and how deceptively quick it is. Unfortunately the brakes seem to be made of cheese so an upgrade to some 285s is first on my list!

il keep you popsted on the developments

Carriers, pads, and disks from an 827 (they're 285's like the Ti brakes) seem the way forward. Can keep the existing calipers too.

dare i say, i may have to find an ugly one to break for the bits i need to sort mine out

a full respray later in the year

Mk2 827s seem to be inconsistent in brakes, Mk1 827s seem far more universal - always the 285mm setup.

Pads in mine are doing fine, albeit that there's a fair chunk of disc not being touched by them that could be.

I thought the plan was to upgrade the 216's brakes and swap the 282mm carriers over onto the 800?

Oh, and I shall be keeping a close eye on the Accord over the weekend, so dont even think about trying to nick the 300mm brakes :P

all we need now is to do the impossible and try and find some lol

I think the Ti carriers are different on the hub end, and maybe the caliper end too. Otherwise it would be much easier :p
