After much thought and consideration I've decided to put the gsi up for sale :(

Costing me too much in storage etc. and I never use it.

Spec here
http://www.rt2468abcd.r8technology.co.uk/viewtopi ... 8&t=107567

9 months MOT
3 months tax iirc
Brand new windscreen April 12

Thinking of about £1200 or nearest offer.

Have a few bits to go with it
Standard alloys, suspension, brakes and a few other bits and pieces.

This needs buying up! The brakes are worth a third of the asking price!

Its a genuine turbo, time for someone to put their money where their mouth is.

Drives lovely, so tight imo.

Original engine was believed to be piston rings topic here
http://www.rt2468abcd.r8technology.co.uk/viewtopi ... 0&t=118638

Engine is from C2ks green gsi turbo
On 91,000 miles runs lovely,
I spent near £300 on new seals couple of new sensors etc just before the engine went in. still have receipt.
Car is on 85,000 or there abouts still have original clocks.
Car has service book stamped up to about 65,000 miles and 3 keys.
There is a small oil leak, not sure where it's from. I think it's from turbo oil feed return.
No rust really only a few bubbles, really is in good condition. There is the laquer peel on passenger rear quarter which I will post a pic later tonight.

Really is a good car and I'm really reluctant to sell but needs must and all that. Been thinking it over for a while now :(.

best i can offer is long term storage if that helps.

Sorry but i have 8 in my fleet at the moment all needing work and a whopping 2-3hrs per week to get them fixed.

This fails imo.

Store it dude, you'll blow the cash like we all would, then miss the turbo. £1000 or so wont last long and will vanish with a few beers and some smokes. Forget about your outlay on the car and let it appreciate in value over the next few years

My advice is store it.

Simples. At the end of the day this is one of what 20 odd road legal genuine GSi turbos? This WILL be worth money in a few years, I predict if you sell it that figure will be -1 GSi Turbo as some clown will see this as ZR fodder. I would consider buying this just to store it but I already have the 20v and the gsi turbo on the drive along with her zr.

Decisions old boy.

Dont fail here,

Really can't justify keeping it tbh!

I've kept ignoring my outlay on it every month. But realistically I only ever drive it to POL etc. It's been twice in 3 years. Not worth it IMO :(

Not that simple :( I keep it at my friends house on his drive who charges me for the Privelage.

Could do that but I like it close to where I am hence why I'm paying for it to be stored at my mates down the road. Thanks for the offer again though.

So anyone interested?

Not a real friend in my opinion mate at one point i had 3 extra oval race cars in my garden that belonged to mates i never charged them a penny and they use to come work on them round mine and do as they like

Nothing is really selling at the minute mate :(

Sadly this is true.

It's just annoying how everyone always says they want a turbo hatch. And then a decent one comes up for sale and nobody's interested. You see it all the time.

Still. That's the way the cookie crumbles I suppose. Ha ha
