I thought it was the same guy. In answer to your question though, no he doesn't have left and rights. He has also offered a better price and isn't going to end that ebay auction early because he wants to see what they fetch even though his chinese rods sell for £170 for other brands

Ha! Brilliant.

I suggest we just go contact him individually and buy our rods direct. He's obviously not up for a group discount as originally suggested.

Anyone interested contact him through eBay.

He can do a slightly better price than that including delivery
To be honest, I thought the hold up was due to waiting on people here. He's probably going to see a few people bidding over those rods and then think he can get a premium price.
He is prepared to do a group buy for 5 people though and the turnaround is 5 weeks or so.

I'm not stepping on Robs toes as he has done a fair bit of the ground work here. All I have done is negotiate a better price.

Contemplating it, but mylast explerience with cheap forged rods ended in disaster, is there any proof these have been used long term in a high power application? If so im in.

Yeah but zetecs have cooling squirters and various other things that will change the engine components behaviour. DO we have anyone in the T16 world whos run them for even say a year at 300+ will alot of abuse ?

I think the answer is no to the question. Do bear in mind if oil squirters are the main reason why they'll last in a zetec, bear in mind you could use a L series block bored out as it will have oil squirters. Or a prima for that matter. You may well have to spend a bit to get a few holes drilled and tapped in to the block for the head but it all seems simple enough really.

The old blacktop Zetec doesn't have oil squirters and SE engine doesn't have any, and i think they are the main users to be honest.
Not sure about the redtop and C20LET engine.

Guy emailed this morning.

Guys,

Sorry for the long wait but I now have 5 sets of rods in, they are £200.00 plus £10.00 delivery without bolts, bolts are £60.00 a set.  I'll give you first chance of them before they go on ebay.

Regards............Andy
I'm not facilitating this AT ALL, just passing on the details. PM me if you want his contact details.
