I'm assuming you're well into the breaking now - I wish I'd seen this sooner as I have quite a lot of standard parts kicking around in the garage from the several rover turbos I've owned - suspension, several sets of brakes etc. I'd have even donated a T25 when I get it...

I really should pay more attention :(

I can understand why you're doing it though mate - you'll make a lot more money breaking it than selling it as is. I was momentarily tempted to do the same with mine, but managed to resist.

It's not just Rovers that are dirt cheap and hard to shift these days btw - I've looked at a couple of perfectly straight Impreza STi's and WRX's for £1500 in the last week round here, though they didn't hang around long and have gone already. The trader and pistonheads is awash with cheap performance cars right now.

Even M3s and the like are getting cheap, went to see a pristine 2003 M3 in black, manual, 26k with full service history. £12k ono !! Thats very cheap compared to what it was worth a year ago.

Havent got as far with the breaking as i would have liked being honest - Due to poor weather and a 7 week in length cold things havent been on my side :) Still things are looking up abit now.

in response to interesting items left:

T28 Turbo All reconned very recently - £285 Delivered (Note comes with exhaust manifold still attached)
620ti Front brake setup - £offers
Full magnex exhaust system, decat back - again offers on this.
BRM Wheels - 4 wheels in good condition with tyres though i would replace as my tracking was out ideally i want £200 for these plus postage if required - Let me know if this is way overpriced cos i think i'm about right?
Also have 3 further BRM wheels - guessing these shall sell seperately - offers.

They're the main items i would say - Apart from the engine but tbh i think i'll have to sell that locally :).

Yeah the car market is bad, i bought my replacement car at a very good price just before christmas.
Maybe I'll have an M3 in a year or 2 then :D

Hi Alex :)

Do you by any chance have the 90° pipe which connects the windscreen washer pipe to the washer jet itself? the one on my 600 is split. I'm not even sure if the R8 has the 90° section though, can you or someone check that for me?

Many thanks,
Leo

p.s. I have a post running in Parts Wanted about this too :)
91 Citroen BX GTi 8v - bought March 13
95 Ford Mondeo 1.8i Ghia - March 11 - March 13 - scrapped
98 620 SLDi - July 08 - March 11
97 420 GSDi - dumped in France
94 420 GSi Turbo, 235bhp. Dec 03 - May 08, still missed
