uTorrent and Xbox Live

Post by radddogg »

Whenever uTorrent is running it lags my Xbox Live connection so I have to close uTorrent or pause all traffic. Is there a way I can automatically close the uTorrent port/s when my xbox starts up? i.e. when my router detects traffic through the xbox live ports or through my Xbox's static IP?

Any ideas?

I use bit comet and the exact same thing happens, no matter if the download rate is high or low it totally lags me out.

you can't seed and use Xbox. Unless you have some crazy high upload connection which no ISP provides.

Depends how much you're willing to pay.

Radders, do you throttle your upload speed within the client? You could always set up QoS if you router supports it.

Is your nat restricted?

Have you set up port forwarding.

This wan't saying that the problem is sorted - just that everything is set up right my end.

I don't want to seed and play xbox at the same time - I want to close the utorrent ports once the xbox live ports see traffic - is that possible?
