Re: The cream of the crop - Best car on RT?
Thanks for putting my name/car up there guys, but from what I've seen of Toms 420, as mine stands now it'd knock mine out of the ring tbph! Maybe once I get the bodywork sorted an my bits fitted, I'd stand a chance.
Toms has gotta be one of the cleanest yeah. You've got Si420 for brute power but its also a car that gets used properly. Cromes coupe will be sexual as is Mitus' and VVC Mini mini's! Didn't that vittesse win a TOTB handling event?! Thats serious kudo's right there!
There are way too many cars to call it (which is a good thing), especially from photo's alone

Some awesome cars on this thread I must say. I think my personal favourite has to be the Knightfire 420 Turbo, it looks imaculate. One thing I noticed actually the spoiler on it looks rather strange compared to other 420 turbo's I've seen and even my own. Was it some kind of 'special roversport' thing?

Re: The cream of the crop - Best car on RT?
Wow, I didn't realise my car was held in such high regard
I have my Samcos and alloy rad to fit, so there will be more photos to follow in due course no doubt.
I guess my submissions for this, in no particular order:
-Neill's silver GTi Turbo
-Firose's red GSiT
-Rob's red GSiT
-Mark's old black Tickford Maestro
-Crome's coupe
I always liked pasty's blue coupe turbo, no idea if its still about or even a shadow of its former self, and likewise with Nick Cape's old green GSiT hatch, so I'm not sure either of those can be included here...
Shame they're not a match made for Surrey's roads! I've already had to replace two of the rims in the last four years due to pot hole damageDavid-Ti wrote:Those wheels on that car are a match made in heaven. Looks sorted.

Re: The cream of the crop - Best car on RT?
Personally, I would.
But then, for that to be perfect in my eyes, it'd have to lose the straights for some Addendums probably, and have the RES front bumper, standard (albeit colour coordinated) GSi rear bumper, and the RES skirts. I never liked the RES three tooth grille.

Re: The cream of the crop - Best car on RT?
Thanks to Din for suggesting both of my cars
However, I'd like to gracefully withdraw the ZS. Don't get me wrong, I love owning and driving it and it is a great package with the work that's been done to the engine. But, even with age on it's side, it's not upto the standard of some of the other nominations on here. Both passenger side doors are plastered with car park dings from previous ownership, and the engine has just been slotted in and forgotten about with no effort made to dress it up! All in good time though
As for the Mini, yes, it has had an unhealthy amount of time and money put into it over the years but again I wouldn't consider it "complete" just yet. I'm pretty sure I have in my possesion everything else I intend to fit (nothing exciting, just trim really) but until this is done it won't be complete in my eyes.
Cars that get my vote, in no particular order:
Jim's (?) Green Vitesse
Tom Pinney's Red 420
RobBBoi's Red 220
Vinny's White 220 (preferred Berger's pic though
)
About time we pulled our fingers out and had a meet to see these cars in the flesh isn't it?!

By the way guys, I'm thinking of adding a vote to this for the craic.
Top 5 should we say?
I will have a chin-wag with some of the other mods and see what 5 we should put up there. I'm also thinking a prize giving at POL might be in order...we shall see. So yes, cars nominated have to be on the road and fully functional.
