If you have telephone banking, yeah.

Surely the best place to start would be ringing your local branch. I'm sure they can tell you much more than we can :P

Me too, but I've got interbanking set up (it's simple to do. The only pain with that is the separate card reader you have to use to generate a transaction ID, fine when I'm at home, but a pita if I'm travelling and want to do a transfer).

Either phone the central call centre number, or go into your local branch.

If you go into the branch you should be able to do it over the counter if you give them the account number and sort code you want it sending it (and give them your bank card). Nationwide do "fast transfer", so if the bank your sending to also participates then the money will usually arrive in about an hour, rather than three working days.

I do it online though because I'm not a confused old lady :P

Draw out the cash and go pay it in a branch of the other persons bank? Or perhaps buying some postal orders and posting them to the other person? Old ladys do love going to the post office so I've heard.

Could Western Union or some such not send it over via telegraph for you? Should only be a few nights to get there by saddle, m'aam.

Paypal.

As said, call telephone banking. Failing that, branch. Just take the account details with you and your debit card. Should go through as a faster payment.
