Audi RS5
5 Series GT
1.2 Clio with the LOUDEST exhaust I have ever seen
The Storm Has Gone Again
Bubble/Mk3 conversion looms available including wasted spark AND ZS, pm for prices !
Evo 5 (which hasn't moved for about 6 months and needs a new home
Audi rs4 which is a really nice drive I didn't like think if anything happens I'm paying for it but still a nice car
In my road fast car wise there's:
BMW 645ci coupe
Range Rover Supercharged (not sport model)
Mercedes E350 CDI
Then down the scale slightly to a Fiesta ST and Mondeo ST200.
Everything else is slow and boring including Fiestas, corsa's clio's Golf's and MGZR 1.4's.
There is a few cars that visit people sometimes that are quick. These are:
1, Blob eye Impreza Sti
2, Impreza RB320 nice!
No one else has a 900cc tiny Jap car like my old Suzuki tho, so I would fairly safely say that my old Alto was probably the slowest car in the road.
All owned by me, bmw 330d, forged mg zr t16, rover coupe turbo, dads got an octavia vrs estate, apart from these everything else is Eco, only decent other car is a t5 Volvo v70 estate.
The only quick car in our street is an M3. Everything else is dull middle class family stuff and mid life crises roadsters.
The Neighbour has had a V12 aston (a friends) and his brother has a striped out 530 which is pretty quick tho. Came across on that on my first dry trackday in the bubble and got mullered by it. Never got a chance at a rematch

my roads dull think the fastest car on the street is a bmw 330d...
... but on camps a differant story, theres an evo 5, escort rst, M3 csl, a shed load of vauxhall astra and corsa vxr's including a brand spanking new astra vxr brought back from germany erm skyline r33, couple of focus st's, a nobel M12 and hidden in the workshops is a bowler wildcat. not entirley sure who owns it but i suspect its one of the officers toys sounds tinky winky amazing though when its out on the training area.

I think my Vitesse may have returned to the top of the league in my street. For a couple of years I was secretly really miffed at being 3rd, behind the Skyline across the road and the Vectra VXR a couple of doors down. The Skyline's gone now. The fella who had the VXR has replaced it with a brand new Insignia estate, which has a little 'turbo' badge on the back. I wondered if it was an estate version of the Insignia VXR, though it doesn't look particularly 'loaded'. It has cloth trim and fairly uninspiring wheels, and doesn't look like it's in the 140mph+ category.
I should've quit you a long long time ago. then I wouldn't be here with all my trouble, down on this killing floor
Fastest car is still the V8 drag monster which has recently undergone a transformation from Consul to LWB Land Rover pickup.
Pics will follow I promise.
Nowadays any decent family saloon is quicker than my vitesse coupe.
In my street the quickest would be a Merc cl600 with some 550bhp owned by a guy further down. He used to have a Porsche Cayenne ut swapped it for the Merc.
Second probably the Merc 500 4th gen with some 320bhp owned by my neighbour across.
Other than that I think I keep up with my closest neighbours BMW320d. The rest, about 20-30 Skodas, Volvos, Citroens and SAABs are left for dust! (In a straight line...)

Hang on, though; a family saloon that can do 0-60 in 7.5 seconds and reach 147mph would be more than 'decent', I reckon. Your Vitesse is still "special", mate!

For that Parker's claim 145mph and 0-60 in 7.3 sec.
That's very similar to the vitesse sport, except the BMW has around 15BHP less and weighs at least 60kg more.
If your vitesse is in good health and making 200BHP you shouldn't have any trouble keeping up with a 2.0litre diesel
Mine is only a Vitesse 180bhp coupe, but I think my mongoose and GBE MBC might have altered that. No I think mine is quicker than the diesel.
Got to be, mate. Got to be. Don't listen to him. He's evil. Pure evil. Never, ever lend him money or ask him to look after your cats. A German diesel is faster than a proper British sportin' tourer, indeed! Ha! I don't know why he doesn't just go and marry BMW.......
Honestly. Bleedin' disgrace.

Punx0r wrote:Interesting that yours is the 180PS model. It must have been an export special as the vitesse coupe was only available here from 1996 and with 200PS.
Is yours perhaps earlier than 1996? When Rover still made the Saloon and Fastback vitesses with 180PS?
Regardless, if you have set the boost to 12psi then you have a 200PS model
Yes, it's an export version, LHD Italian market. 1993. There are two Vitesse coupes in Sweden, both from Italy and both 180bhp 1993 models. But I have the vit-sport wheels, anti roll bars and smoked tails so mine is faster just by doing that! A trained eye can spot that mine is a bit higher than a vit sport.
