Suggestions for a cheap runabout

Post by radddogg »

Thinking of getting a cheap runabout. Ideally something tiny - no bigger than a corsa really. Reliable. Economical. Under £1500. Auto would be a huge plus.

So far my search has thrown up 1.3CDTI corsa, 0.9cc Fiat Seicento, Smart car. I would have another smart car but the engines are made of chocolate.

cheap, diesel and runabout should not be used in the same sentence.

Get a small, low cc, petrol, undesirable car in poverty spec and you are onto a winner.

^^

Don't agree there.

The corsa JTD is a great motor, they return amazing mileage and with the plug and play chip pull really well.

£30 tax!!

Agreed. It seems all anyone wants nowadays is a small diesel...
