Can one not appreciate the beauty of the feminine form without turning to carnal thoughts? I have worked there for eight years now and any consideration of impropriety with my students is in your minds only, you puffs of f*ck-dust.Mynheers_a_pint wrote:bjrespect wrote:my exact thoughtsC2K wrote:Aquila wrote:I work in an all-girls' grammar school and the sun of a May morning streaming down on the Sixth Form fills my soul with joy!

Thats a very offensive reply for someone moralistically secure of any unseemliness within themselves.

Most sixth formers are 17/18 so I don't see the problem here. They were short skirts to attract looks and IMO there's a large difference between merely giving them those looks and using a position of authority to influence them into playing hide-the-sausage

You know you're getting old when you used to give them admiring looks but now find yourself thinking 'I cant believe the parents let them go out like that'Punx0r wrote:Most sixth formers are 17/18 so I don't see the problem here. You make an attack on me as a professional and as a person and think that I will just laugh it off? I'm sorry, but those implications were beyond the pale. I apologise for descending into invective in my reply, but I thought better of this forum. My original post was purely a throwaway comment referring to the amazing young women I work with day-to-day, couched in terms of humour. This I now regret as it is clear that there are those who are unequipped to deal with it and, instead, drag everything down into their puerile morass of a life. I pity them.majesticpower wrote:Ofcourse... Can you?Aquila wrote: Can one not appreciate the beauty of the feminine form without turning to carnal thoughts?

However, if overreaction is the name of the game, 'Holy F**ksticks, Batman, did Aquila just vehemently exclaim that absolutely completely everyone on Rovertech is pathetically puerile? That sounds like a violent abashment of our personalities!'
*Edit* P.s: I'll get some photos of the surroundings of my work up as soon as I can get a moment off with my boss not breathing down my neck about being perfectly, precisely punctual coming back off my break...

I think editing Aquila's post has made this worse. I missed the OP so when I read this quote I thought it was a bit offensive, it was only when I checked back that I realised that the quote was edited out of context.Punx0r wrote:I think we have a winner!Aquila wrote:I work in an all-girls' grammar school and the sun of a May morning streaming down on the Sixth Form fills my pants with joy!

Well I'm not judging you in a poor light. When a girl turns 16 she doesn't suddenly become any more or less attractive than when she is 15 years and 364 days old so you can still find females under the age of consent attractive without being a paedo. Obviously I'm not saying its ok to fancy 12 year olds before I get my house burned downAquila wrote:Still very much hurt and angered, in the interest of my continued association with this site, I am withdrawing from this thread.
What I'm saying is that you could see a girl aged 15 who looks 16 or above and find her attractive, that doesn't make you Michael Jackson.

Re: Who has the best view from work ?
*Thread bumpage*
I noticed these on my camera when uploading some other pics and was reminded that I meant to post them on this thread ages ago.
Interesting diversion on the thread here, but no point in dragging that aspect up again.
Here's where I work. As you can see, I asked everyone else to move their cars while I took the photos.

Re: Who has the best view from work ?
Do you mind me asking Colin but where is that ? I know many industrial / commercial parks are very similar looking but that landscape in the background looks like the area surrounding Cloverleaf prison near Clondalkin. Am I close

Re: Who has the best view from work ?
The view from my work is now the landfill site behind Didcot powerstation, so I clearly win!
Re: Who has the best view from work ?
My view in front of me is another guy and his bench, my view to the right is another guy and his bench, my view behind is the welder, and my current view to the left is a whopping big bucket from a dumper truck, looks more like a huge skip to me
Not the best view

Hi James, hope you are keeping well?
That's Citywest, so not very far from Clondalkin but I'm not sure if you could see it from there.

Keeping good thank's Colin, I knew it was familiar, stayed in the City West hotel for a while when I first moved to Dublin years ago, work had us in Tallaght IT doing a course for a few weeks, used to pass along that way I think.
