I have seen them before and it is more educational than entertainment. The more people realise where there food comes from the better.< KEVIN > wrote:This is bang out of order! was channel hopping while my other program was on a ad break

Surely going by that logic you should only be allowed to live in a house if you're willing to go out in the freezing cold and lay the bricks yourself. People just dont realise how buildings get built....teethgrinder wrote:I personally think that once you turn 16 you should only be allowed to eat meat if you kill it, watch it butchered, cook it all yourself. Too many people have no idea on how meat ends up on your plate.

The chinesse have been doing just that for centuries but I believe they're cruel begars as a race as they'll kill, cook, eat and sell anything - of course if it's being shot, cooked and eaten then fine by me. I have issues with anyone who goes hunting to kill something and then toally waste it... especially when they call it "Sport". Oh, and I have dogs... 3 of em in case you were wondering where my loyalties lay towards "mans best friend". Dogs however aren't typically bred in this country though as a food source are they?< KEVIN > wrote:Would you find if appropriate if a dog or a cat was to shot chopped and cooked.
I agree, ending the life of any living thing prematurely is never going to be truely humane is it... it's impossible but a bolt thru the brain is a very fast, effective and reletively painless end. Even though the body is withering about afterwards do not be fooled as there is no life there and as the brain is dead there will be no pain felt. If you shoot something chances are one shot won't kill outright and the same can be said for using electricity as it doesn't always stun enough and therefore causes pain.< KEVIN > wrote:I like it when they say it was killed humanly, there is not humane way to kill an animal unless its suffering in pain thats doggies.
I'm only stating my opinion on the topic which you and others are equally entittled to disagree with. You made your choice and turned over however I strongly disagree with you despite not seeing this episode/series. I believe this kind of program can be very educational and you are warned beforehand about the graphic nature of the programs content. I hate using quotes to make a point but I feel this one makes clear my point and possibly the point of the program:< KEVIN > wrote:FYI i was channel hopping when the girl was standing with a shotgun crying her eyes out while the farmer smearing the blood of the dear over her face and i was like what f**k is this all about. watch about 2 minutes of it, i know when to turn over.

You wouldn't like to go hunting with me then< KEVIN > wrote:This is bang out of order! was channel hopping while my other program was on a ad break

Why not, we are predators, they are technically prey, just because we have turned them into pets, doesn't mean that they aren't still food, some countries still eat cats and dogs, and while "frowned upon" by some, if they aren't domesticated animals, then they are food. Do you think it is appropriate to slaughter a lamb, a small little baby sheep, bless it, sure you would eat it though.< KEVIN > wrote:Would you find if appropriate if a dog or a cat was to shot chopped and cooked.
there is actually, oxygen starvation resulting in mild joy filled hysteria, followed by passing out, followed by death, no pain, only lul's< KEVIN > wrote:there is not a humane way to kill an animal

Ah yeah, "Gunther Von Hagens Autopsy Live on Ch4"... now that was ace and people complained about that to though they were warned before and during the program about its graphic content. Morbid curiosity makes you watch it though doesn't it even if it disgusts you. I don't think i'd have liked to have experienced it live for the smell alone! When he putting that guys Brain thru a bacon slicer had me feeling a little giddy for some reason but also had me chuckling for using an actual bacon slicer in a medical lab (Apparently it was the "Perfect tool" for obtaining true cross sectional cuts at <2mm increments....riiiiiiight ((Germans and precisionsyzsounds wrote:I even like the german fella who shows us dead bodies ... maybe its the curious side of my nature about how things work ( Which is also why im on this forum! ) that makes me watch these programmes but i love em.
