in some ways i agree but a public figure like amy winehouse doing what she did is in some way promoting the bad choices she made!
why should she get respect when she had no respect for herself and has done no good with her life except waste it ?

although i always say i will learn from my own mistakes and not others in this case this is a lesson to be learned!

Isn't it hypocritical to talk of respect on a high horse and disrespect the deceased at the same time?

How would you like it if you had a kid who got involved in any kind of substance abuse, be it legal or not, and died either directly or indirectly because of this? Bet you'd be whinging on saying how its all they're fault, you have no sympathy, just desserts blah blah blah.

I've never once said I have or havnt done drugs. But I have never touched what ever dirty logger she used and I certainly havnt thrown my life away for the sake of looking like a crackhead like she has.

Everyone goes through bad patches in there lifes but she had so many chances to make good why should people say its a tragic loss when it was inevitable

Who's fault is it then?

It's either the individual's or the parents'.

There's always somebody responsible, whether it's liked or not.

In her case it's her.

Look at the gunman in Norway... the bloke is clearly screwed in the head. Should we feel sorry for him because he's clearly a troubled individual? No, we see him for what he is. Maybe if he's written a song though, things would be different?

Some folks on here are coming across as acutely retarded. A multimillionaire with drug and drink problems doesn't steal etc to fund their addictions, what Amy Winehouse would have been doing to fund her addiction if she was not a wealthy young lady is irrelevant here as it simply wasn't the case. Realistically Amy's actions harmed herself, her family and friends went through hell too and no doubt she is the one to blame. She didn't kill any innocent people, she didn't steal car radios or rob handbags to fund her addictions. She died presumably due to her addictions and issues, her folks are setting up a foundation to help other people with addictions, future profits from any sale of yet unreleased material will be going to this foundation. She has passed away, hopefully good will come from what has happened. That would be awesome perhaps.

No doubt some of ye are parents, unless ye have the heads firmly lodged up the rectum ye should have worries etc that perhaps one of your kids may make mistakes as they are growing up, if ye reckon that won't happen because they come from such excellent backgrounds all the best with that theory.

If there is any retard it was her. Darwinism

Agreed its her life to ruin, but what i dont like is she is role model to children. Much like that idiot moss.
People of that position should set an example.

The queen has everything, as does Lewis Hamilton. I dont see them adicted to illegal substances???
Maybe im wrong with Lewis, the untalented arm candy could be an illegal substance

true point, her life she wasted but people with no brains would look at her and think it was 'cool' to do some of the things she did

her life was great im sure and i think she was a talented artist when she first came out but she went down hill from there and now shes gone.

just hope people take this as a lesson not to go down that track and not think its a lifestyle to be lived

I would blame governments around the world that started the failed "war on drugs" in the 60's, and consecutive governments that have continued this utter failure of a policy ever since, so yes, Thatcher has a slice of the huge pie of fault

The latest from her family is that the withdrawl is what killed her. Ironic.

What amuses me is the latest Ad by Dior for their Dior Addict 'Be Iconic' range.. starring kate moss  .. with winehouse eye makeup..

I'd be pretty surprised if street drug withdrawal really was the cause of death. It's very rarely fatal and is a coincidental effect of placing a ruined body under physical stress.

On the other hand, the odds of dying when tinky winky around with speedballs is much, much greater.

Withdrawel would`nt have killed her literally.

What they mean is because she was withdrawing she was at rock bottom, which would have led to her overdose.
