Do you live between London and Birmingham?
Will you be affected by the proposed high speed rail link?
Will you be paying for it through your taxes?

Re: High Speed Rail link
tbh, I think it would be a good thing for the country to have a proper high speed network linking London, Brum, Manc and Leeds. Get up towards 200mph on service trains so there is no real point to flying such short distances.
Existing WCML and ECML north of those cities could go up to 140mph with signalling upgrades.

Re: High Speed Rail link
It will do more good than harm. If the tree huggers dont like it, f*ck em.
However I do have a bit of sympathy for people whose residences will be affected. Sell sell sell!
To progress, you need to sacrifice. Our train network is like something out of the dark ages atm.

Re: High Speed Rail link
I would say it would be a good thing, but the fare prices for the current trains are already much too high to make them an economcically viable way of getting around the country.
