damn right!

Ever since they've been doing the air race its only ever been a matter of time. They pick the entrants VERY carefully so its no surprise it happened cos of mechanical failure... but it was still inevitable. But then again, thats what makes it so good to watch.

Lucky it didnt happen at the uk one... thats over hard ground lol.

I don't think it's any better at those speeds. Plus you get the opportunity to drown...

Eh? I went and watched it about 2 yrs ago in London and it was over the Thames :?

Now I think about it, I remember seeing videos of it at Longleat..... they must chance the location annually I guess.

Reminds me of the B52 crash at Fairfield. Too great an angle of attack although it seems this may have been mechanical failure than pilot error.
