Hi,
Long time no see.
I'm looking at possibly getting a cheap second car in the region of £800. Looking for something soft top and fun. I was thinking about an MGF/TF 1.8 vvc or 1.8 tiptronic.
Anyone got any experience of these? What are they like? Other than head gasket anything to watch out for? What are the roofs like?
Any other suggestions?
Cheers
MGF/MGTF

Re: MGF/MGTF
Make sure you view and drive one.
They rust underneath and can look really scrappy when they do.
I would personally get a pampered MGF in your colour of choice

Re: MGF/MGTF
Well I got one.

1.8 steptronic SE, 34000 miles, 2 previous owners, head gasket, cambelt and water pump done.
Needs a few things to tidy it up but I saved a bit haggling to cover.

Very nice. Why the F over the TF Richard? Must admit I keep looking at TF160s on ebay and autotrader.
