Fastest cars in your road?

For things that don't fit into a category. i.e. non-motor related subjects.

Fastest cars in your road?

Post by Sheaf »

Random discussion:

Is your car the quickest down your road?
If not... what's quicker?

Down my road the quickest cars are (in no particular order):

My Accord Type R
Porsche Boxter (not an S)
Skyline R33 GTR (modded)
Pug 206 GTi 180
Then it drops down to a few cars like Golf GTi etc...

There's a teg Si as well, modded. I know they can be quick but this has a stupidly big exhaust and lexus lights so I suspect it's not been modded for performance...

I'd imagine the quickest is the Skyline... they fitted a huge FMIC the other week, looks really really tidy so I suspect it's been tweaked a fair bit. When I got the accord that wasn't there though, nor was the boxster (the bloke had a Alfa GT coupe derv), so the ATR was the quickest for a time....

RR Sport
Redtop Nova
Mercedes Sprinter

I believe these are the quickest in my road - no real tuners bar the Vdub boys - and they are all into body mods and audio.

You all know that the fastest thing on the earth is a Merc Sprinter.. :P

in our cul de sac, i think im the winner, nothing even remotely spicey, apart from a half rebuilt cavalier with no exhaust...

a little further down the road is a scooby, but it was wasted in a 420gsi turbo standard pretty much so cant be that impressive...

have seen a few spicey cars about in town though, a new ford GT40, and even saw a pagani zonda on lunch once.

Yes. Mine is.

In fact, before that my dad's old 75 conny was probably the quickest too.

The rest of my street is full of coffin dodgers.

There is a rather tasty BMW but its all show and no go.

Nope, I win in my street.

My BMW 850i and my Ti are the quickest. Only contenders are a chav'd 306 16v and an import Scooby Impreza (spelling :D )

No contest.

A few decent cars on my estate.

Clio V6
BMW 330i
BMW 530d
Mazda RX-8
Clio 182
Fabia VRS (come on, all Fabia VRS owners know their cars are the fastest things ever)
Focus ST

And the guy next door used to have an Audi TT

I think the only things that would give me any trouble are the Clio and the Focus.

While out on my travels once, I met the guy on my street with the Fabia and proceeded to show him how sh1t his car was

Our road is somewhat disapointing - there's a clio sport and then the wifes celica!
then it's all bog standard jobbies.

Either my Gsi or my dads TVR Chimera are the quickest.

There is Pug Gti 180 and a new Volvo D5 estate but Im pretty sure Id have no problems with them.

At the top of my road there used to be a scooby P1, but the bloke sold it and bought 2.0i calibre which is chavved up!

On this particular road, now that there's no longer a GTB, the 'Tesse will probably outstrip the rest. Unsure about what engine the A3 just a couple of doors down has, but even if it's the 1.8T, surely the ol' T series turbo will give that a good going at, even in an old barge?

I lose badly to rich people who share the high street, two doors down has a 911 Turbo (New), guy opposite has an Esprit 350 Sport which he's had from new. The other end of the high street theres a Supra RZ TT and an R34 GTR (same house!). See Ferrari's and Lambo's and even a Carrera GT about when it's a nice sunny day. Of all the non-supercars I guess the Maestro could take most though :) but it does suck to be poor in a rich enivronment
The Omega fits in though amongst all the Mercs and Beemers :)

Nice 500bhp Supercharged V8 8)

I don't live on a street as such, more like a court yard but there's only a E46 M3 Cabro and a Seat Leon Cupra R so I'd be 3rd fastest, maybe 2nd if the Leon driver drives Miss Daisey

Mine would be the quickest at the moment, other than that there is nothing remotely spicy on my road. A mini cooper or my girlfriends megane coupe are probably next. Until recently though there was also a TT 225, 2 scoobys and an elise so it used to be a bit more interesting, but those guys all moved away within months of each other cos they were all at it with each others birds!

All boring cars down my road , but round the corner a guy takes out what looks like an original le mans car in blue elf racing colours with a dogleg gearbox just like the one in front of the GT40 in the picture.

http://www.maisonblanche.co.uk/gulflm.html

And an original ac cobra widowmaker too lucky sod.

EDIT : just remembered a woman with a UR quattro and a bloke with an alpine turbo.

I think it's actually a Rover ! (well MG ZT V6), then a modded ZR160

Rest are a mix of 1.0/1.4/1.6s.

Surprisingly my 1.0 Polo Coupe ISN'T the slowest. It eats 1.2s and keeps up with next door's 1.4 corsa :o

On my street there are a few decent motors.

There's my Supra TT.
A played with Impreza 555 edition,
Slightyl played with Evo 5,
Civic Type R.

There used to be another 2 Imprezas but the lad with the Civic got rid of his and a lady on the street had a quick STi 6, well it was quick upto 1** then I had her
