WELCOME

We are MG-ROVER - MERSEYSIDE, we are a group of
MG-ROVER owners and mg-rover.org Members who
organise the monthly Merseyside Meets and events
in the Merseyside Area.

ABOUT US

It all started in early 2008 when Andypower posted up a
topic in the England - North section of mg-rover.org
called "whos in merseyside", in the summer of that year
ROVER-25X set up the first topic of what would eventualy
become the Merseyside Meet, since then we have become
the longest running monthly meet on mg-rover.org, we
have held 51 Monthly Meets, 4 Christmas Meals, 3 Track
Days and 3 DYNO Days and 7 Tunnel Runs.

Members from all over the UK have attended the Meet and
we average 10 cars per month, our Record is 23 Cars which
was at the Tunnel Run 2 meet and we are confident that we
can beat this record in 2012 so come on down and enjoy
the fun atmosphere with a fantasctic bunch of people at
the longest running Meet on mg-rover.org.

ABOUT THE MEET

The Meet starts at 13:00, there is usualy a Meet Rep who
arrives first to greet everyone as they arrive, we have the
meet in the early in the afternoon so that we can make
the most of the daylight in the Winter months and enjoy
the fantastic sunshine in the Summer months.

We spend most of our time outside chatting, looking at
the cars, lending a hand fixing proplems or help fitting
mods and sharing help, tips and advice, we also take
photos of the line up of cars in attendance, group pics
and the work being done on cars, we also film videos of
the meet and of Members cars due to the great location
of a 60mph road at the front of the meet location so we
can capture the induction roar and exhaust sounds of
the cars as they drive past.

We always have the meets at Pub Resturants so we
have lots of car parking space and access to Food,
Drink and Toilets, plus if the weather takes a turn for
the worst or if it is too cold in the Winter Months
there is always somewhere warm to sit.

If it is raining or too cold in the winter months we head
inside the venue for warmth and shelter, if you arrive at
the meet and there are lots of MG's and ROVER's but no
owners arround just ask a Member of Staff inside for the
MG-ROVER Meet and they will point us out.

These Meets are Family Friendly and we make Members
Spouses and Partners feel very welcome, we normaly
find locations with Playgounds so that members with
Children are able to attend, all the Locations have Baby
changing facilities.

Don't confuse these meets with the local Chav Cruises
down at your local retail park, yes we hang arround in car
parks but we don't do it in the dark or act anti-socialy, the
age range of our regular Members is 19-60, anyone is
welcome to attend, there are no age barriers.

INTRODUCE YOURSELF

If you are new to the Meet then please introduce yourself
to the group, in the past we have had a few cars arrive
and the owners just sit in there cars and eventualy drive
off, we have no idea who you are until you tell us as we
get a lot of MG-ROVER drivers at the meet locations who
are not there for the Meet hence why we don't ask everyone
so please jump out of your car and say hello to the group.

PROMOTE THE MEET

There are a lot of MG-ROVER owners all over the Merseyside,
Midlands and genral North West area that attend the meet
and we gladly welcome more, if you know any other Members
on mg-rover.org who live in the region or have any family
or friends who own an MG-ROVER then please let them know
about us, if you are a Member of another MG-ROVER owners
Club or on-line forum then it would be fantastic if you could
post up a link for our facebook Group and inform there
Members of the Merseyside Meet.

we represent mg-rover.org and MG-ROVER - MERSEYSIDE
in a good manner and we would appreciate it if anyone who
