Midlands Rolling Road Day 2008

Well it's been a while since we had one. So let’s see if there is any interest for a rolling road meet in May.

I have two possible locations:

Vauxsport in Shiffinal. RT has had quite a few RR days here and they are always pretty good. The only major drawback is they are located in the middle of the Somme. So watch out for the pot holes

.

DRM in Kidderminster. They are friendly bunch with a motorsport background. When I went to a Supra RR day last year they were a little new to it, but enthusiastic. They only give an at the wheels figure, so make sure you aren't running flat tyres.

I have no idea of cost but I would suspect between £20-30 for two runs.

So if we can get an idea of who is interested, and a preference with regards to the location.

Last time we had 21 confirmed runners and 5 maybes, so 26 all in. On the day only 16 cars ran, so thats around 40% drop out. So ideally I would like at least 15 interested parties before I start enquiring.

Certainly a possibility. Nothing absolutlely certain yet, just gauging interest before I start phoning around.

Glad I have a new clutch, think I'll get myself a panel airfilter to replace the cone before I go though lol

Just what I need really, gonna be tuning a bit over the summer, so good to have a proper comparison to see exactly what gains I have made over (hopefully!) the standard power I'm making at the moment.

No precise dates as of yet, though this will be on a weekend, more than likely a saturday. Again prices will depend on the location and the number of cars, but from previous days expect between £20-30.

Just let me know what days you can't do. Realistically we should be aiming for either the 10th of May or the 17th of May.

Like I said earlier, I would like closer to 15 interested parties before enquiring. So a couple more names and I will start making some calls and try and fix a date and location

I would probably say the 31st is probably the most realistic date. Forgot about Japfest, and the later date will suit those who have to get their cars ready.
