Ok guys, thanks for the input from all of you - the speediness of payments is much appreciated by both myself and Rob, it makes my life so much easier not to have to break any legs .

The Group Buy deadline is now passed as you all know, so now it's up to me and Rob. Please keep an eye on this thread for updates. We will advise of an ETA for the parts when we've liaised with the remaining suppliers.

Ok we’ve been doing our homeworks todays as promised instead of real work.

We’ve spoken with each of the suppliers and everything is running to plan with the exception of the discs order, which is likely to take a little longer than originally anticipated. ETA on the discs is 6-7 weeks, slight red tape issue due to it being initial ordering, and an order 50% larger than first anticipated. This lead-time is a one-off for the tooling - future disc orders (e.g. replacements) will be 1-2 weeks max we’re advised.

The fasteners are already on order, the copper washers are already obtained, the stainless banjos are on order, and the bracketry is on order pending a slight update to the drawing Rob prepared for them to clarify some chamfering.

Things are progressing well at this point and I’d ask you to be patient and bear with us. As it stands, we’d hope to have the kits with you by mid-April at the latest. I apologise for the delay but we’re trying our best to bring it forwards. I’d also like to point out that I will be away from home on a business trip to America from February 25th to March 2nd inclusive (only found out this morning!) so contact with me will be tricky. Rob is of course contactable as normal should you have any queries during this short period.

Callipers obtained from Breakers yards mostly. some on ebay but prices high due to demand.

finally got time to catch up with Rob and hey presto, parts aplenty.



So yeah as you can see we have the brake discs, we have the brackets and we're down to the final stages. We need to get the brackets powdercoated, and we are waiting for the fasteners to be delivered then we're ready to ship. Time for those mouths to start watering.

The brake discs necessitated a change part way through as Brembo ultimately decided to give us the run around and start quoting ridiculous lead times. We started to look around after we got fed up with the runaround from Brembo, and sourced some viable alternatives. After lots of discussion, and some samples sent for approval we agreed a disc manufacturer who could quickly and easily deliver the quantity of discs we were looking for. We are more than pleased with the quality of the parts supplied, they meet the Brembo specifications. Here's a couple of pics of the plain and grooved discs side by side.
