Mitus wrote:Thanks for the updates guys, anyone who has the Brembo's already fitted, could you confirm you can see/get to the M6 thread on the drive flange for locating screws?
I can confirm the M6 countersunk bolts WILL go straight through the larger bolt holes on the Brembo group buy discs, so no drilling of these discs is required. (Note: I only have the non-grooved discs, if someone with the grooved version can confirm there are 8 bolt holes in them, they should be fine too)

Old disc on top (albeit a rear, but the same PCD and countersunk hole position), new Brembo group buy disc beneath, two wheel studs in place, and an M6 bolt drops straight through the disc retaining countersunk screw hole, through the larger wheel stud hole in the Brembo disc, and out the bottom.

1) Baz
2) James ZS ( Front, Brembo Discs, + ARP Studs)
3) Carl747 282's Front
4) Neilbaker86 (Front, Brembo group buy discs, with ARP studs)
5) Drew ZS180 Brembodge fronts, 2 sets.
6) Jase 1x front pair (alloy floating bells)
7)
8 )
9)
10)

How much are the studs? The ones I have are shiteusmaximus and some ARP ones would save me stressing everytime i change the wheels...

Have updated with prices, but for those who cba to scroll:
Delivered costs for a pair of spacers is £35, with 8 ARP studs, £65.

Slightly dearer than last time I'm afraid, only got a call from them today and when I OK'd it they said they'd order the material in, so not sure on timescale.

Not at all. Infact, those who need studs, you will probably be better off contacting Grant directly about them (as I'd only be getting them from him anyway).

I have the spacers :D

I'd rather add the extra locating holes and countersink them at work on the pillar drill, but I'm off work until next Wednesday. If you're not fussed about the extra holes or have the facility to do them yourself, you can of course have them now as they are. Those who have declared an interest can you please PM me with what you want to do and we'll go from there.

Cheers

We can get them, but it works out uneconomical for a set of 8 if you need them soon?
We sorted Andy out for a price on 20 sets of 5, but we never went through with it.
To get a set of 8 will be approximately 6 weeks as I will get them in on the next ARP order.

We could organise a Group Buy on the studs tho?

Thanks for the reply Grant and apologies for not getting back to you on the studs, been a bit pre-occupied lately.

If you can setup a GB on studs to tie in with the spacers that would be appreciated, I'll lead by example and have a set of 8 :D

Depends how quickly I sell them!

So far:
Neilbaker86 - 1 pair - extra holes - PAID
rovtomcat93 - 1 pair - no extra holes PAID
Drew - 2 pairs - extra holes - PM replied to!

So 4 pairs spoken 4, 6 still left.

Do you have a spare slot for 2 of these spacers?

Think I'm going to need them for running the Brembodges under my Streetwise rims on my 220.

I think you will mate, I did rough measurements with my 17" streetwise wheels and the consensus was that spacers would be needed. Incidently my spacers arrived this morning so thanks Andy :)

I have been trying to find someone in the West Mids who already has the brembo 406 calipers fitted so I could try one of my wheels to see what happens regarding fitment but no joy to date. Maybe someone who has the brembo 406 calipers already fitted lives near you in Wales and you can try the wheel on their car? :?

Thread hijack !

I saw a set of alloys in a local alloy wheel dealer and they looked remarkably like the 17" Streetwise 6 spokes, are these the Addendums ?
If so, I'll have a proper look since the Rover ones are difficult to get these look like a good substitute.

Thread hijack over !

Once again sorry to have kept you waiting, I had to wait until certain people weren't around at work before drilling & countersinking the extra holes

Current status is I have 2 pairs left here, all have had the extra holes drilled. Please PM me if interested :)

Edit: All those that were sent out today have been supplied with 4 (or in Drew's case, 8 ) M6 x 20 countersunk stainless bolts. I would recommend applying copper ease to the threads and around the countersink taper, as stainless does bite into ally quite well!

Bump for Mitus -

He sent me a pair of his new spacers which I popped on the Coupe this morning (std 262mm brakes > need the spacers to run 282's under the std Turbo alloys).

They fit perfectly - the geometric tolerances are extremely tight and a very professional, well-engineered bit of kit. Grub screws are a nice touch too, I have to say :)

Fortunately, with std Coupe Turbo wheels/wheel studs there is 7.5 turns on the wheel nut before it goes tight. Enough for me!

Fitted mine and they are great, Ideal for clearing brakes but not so wide the tyre doesnt fit under the arch. Could of done with these 10 years ago!
Tried 3 sets of wheels; stock and normal after market fitted great. Silly rims with deep lip dont however, but thats retard wheels fault and my 16mm spacers dont even clear them.

2 small probs tho are I found the fit a bit tight, my other spacers fit on and off with no effort, these needed a bit persuading over the studs.
And they have quite a large diameter, so cover half my bell

Im also guessing they are moduler in that if you want to go wider you can fit them over each other?

Thanks for the putting the pics up Rob :)

Jase, stud holes have been enlarged slightly since my first original pair, which slide over the studs nicely. It's possibly just slight differences between vehicles. As for the diameter, they were made that size to suit Rob's Brembo conversion and match the bells of those discs. I could have had them reduced if you'd said

Indicating a well-made transition fit and not a sloppy clearance fit! :)
