Emergency budget...

Post by Limecat »

What do you hope that it brings?

I have heard they will hit the public sector, their pensions and benefit spongers.

I am personally not arsed about the public sector as I don't work in it but I hope they hit the benefit spongers HARD. I mean REALLY HARD. I am sick of people spitting out kids left right and centre, living in some doss-hole that they live in for free whilst picking up enough money to have a way of life - they are effectively 'retired' but living in council property. It really makes me sick. They should ban them from holding a driving licence, a passport, SKY/cable, mobile contracts etc. They are on benefits so why should they 'benefit' off other peoples effort? It is time to give the work shy a wake up call and I pray that they do it. Sod all this family credit crap off or give them a set figure if they have 1 kid or 6 kids, we dont want lazy scum to breed.

A woman at my work lives in council property since splitting from her husband, she had an alcoholic druggie living above her (now evicted) and aftre all the crap she went through to get them evicted it transpired that she gets her dole money plus £100 a WEEK as she is registered as an alcoholic. She got her rent paid for as well as her rates and still got paid her family benefit for her 3 kids who are in care!?! WTF? Why is she getting paid money for her kids when the state is paying for them to be in care? I REALLY hate wasters. Hit them Cameron, gang rape them, time to even out the wrongs of the spongers living under Labour. Do it.

Think you need to think about the big picture before you shoot you mouth off mate, Lucky now I have a good paid job that I'm happy in but I still feel for those on dole money that can't do anything about it.

Now that would be a good move.

Just my opinion, but anybody who is fit to work and on the dole, claiming they cant get a job is just talking $hit. They may not be able to get the job they want, or even the job they need to cover bills etc, but work is out there. It maybe a crap job, and under paid, but still better than dole money.

I am talking the long term unemployed - the dossers. The people that have NO intention of ever working. I do believe in benefits for people that are on hard times and are willing to work. There is a massive difference.

Yeah, i see your point mate. I didnt read your post before i posted mine. Valid points on both sides, its the system thats screwed up imo, not so much the people using it (or in some cases forced to use it).

It just winds me up when i think both myself and my wife work full time, and have to pay for everything, inc child care for our 1yo at over £600pm. Then you see other people with several kids living off the state in big fat houses and not working :x

It's little wonder the state of the economy with the amount of dossers around.

I know someone who has been claiming 'job-seekers allowance' for 8 years. How many applications for a job have they made? 0. Nice one. You should be eligible for a period of time, but IMHO should have had to put into the pot in the first place to put your hand into it.

I live in a nice area of Peterborough, yet two doors down are a pair of unemployed people. Been there a year, no jobs but can afford to get married, have a kid, get a new car and someone else pays their rent. I ask myself why I go to work sometimes. Pride, i believe, is the answer.

Reading the post - FAIL.

He was talking about getting rid of longterm spongers not all JSA. I claimed JSA in 2008 after being made redundant due to the Labour recession (ironic huh). But I claimed it for a grand total of 9 days as that was how long it took to apply, interview and start a new job. For those people that say there are no jobs - I beg to differ. If you can't find a job among that lot then you obviously didn't try hard enough at school - which is of course the individual's fault, no-one elses. You make your own future.

I'm glad Cameron is making steps towards unravelling the mess Labour made. Something like a reduced JSA after 6 months would be a good step. Or food/clothing stamps that can't be used for alcohol or tobacco. The welfare system should be a safety net to stop you starving or going homeless IMO.

I agree with Radders, food stamps which cannot be used to buy cigs or alcohol.

We cant just let these people starve to death on the streets (as much as you may want to).

However you have to limit their lives to being as logger as possible so they might think about working, so no sky tv, booze and takeaways.

We all know of someone who has been made redundant, been on the dole etc. but getting back to work is down to you not the gov or the council or anyone else. When I was made redundant I signed on at a agentcy rather than sign on the dole, after a few weeks the wife and I decided to go into gardening we havn't looked back. there was no jobs so we created one.
As for the budget it will be what the tories always do put taxes up and cut everything, and go back on their promise's. It's what their good at.

cant remember if its france, or holland, or somewhere else foreign... if you want unemployment benefit you have to go to the jobcentre at 9am every day, where they will send you out on temp contracts, or if there arent any, you stay there and look for a job, with help.

If you dont go, you dont get it. Thats how it should be over here.

I do agree that its not right to tar all jsa claimers with the same brush. But there are a hell of a lot of spongers. I live in a council estate (cos its bloody cheap) but the wife goes to uni and I have fingers in pies so we make out own money and dont claim anything. We're surrounded by people who bring in more money than us by sitting on their fat backsides and have no intention of ever changing.

The ones that really f*ck me off are the ones on disability. Normally because they're fat! How the f*ck is eating too many pies a disability? you could still work, so why the hell do they get given money not to?

Them and the ones who claim to be single but aren't. If sarah were on her own, she would bring home about 1100 a month for doing nothing. Tempting? Nope.

The government has a lot to answer for, for making it so easy and lucrative to be on the dole. If all it gave you was enough to exist, people wouldnt be so keen to go on it.

I do hope the tories fix the almighty mess that the welfare system is.

Problem is though with him rambling on about fairness and responsibility.... how about this..

Raising capital gains tax to 50%? wtf?

Heres a thought...

Im mr responsible, I put by 30% of my wage for years!!, buy a flat or a few, rent them out, used my savings(which has been taxed already at PAYE).

I have now got maybe 10 flats, which I hope to sell off at 1 a year towards my retirement(because there will probably be NO state pension in that time and my private pension has been decimated due to the markets and bp's fannying about), but because of this proposed CG tax, im going to get royally shafted!

Ive been responsible, saved my money, contributed to the economy, keeping people and small businesses going, how is that fair?

why dont they tax benefits, simple, if you claim any benefits over a certain period, you pay the top rate of tax, you cant expect to keep taking out the pot and putting nothing back in...

If you want my advice mr C, wothdraw all benefits... make everyone re-apply for them, means test them all.

If you choose not to work(and expect to be paid and a roof put over your head), you should live the miserable life you deserve. with nothing!
Boost cut is similar to this :o with emphasis on this :scared: Then this :? and this  this :x this , then when you fix it, this :D

And since Astracab put us on the race topic with his BNP views on immigration I'll share something that made me want to rip down my St George's flag.

Walking back down Blackpool Road with the wife, nipper and dog and went past a house with about 8 asian men(paki or bengali) sat on the wall, all harmlessly chatting and taking in the passing traffic. In the opposite direction comes this semi-evolved mouth-breathing skinhead on a mountain bike with a bottle of stella in one hand. A few of the asian men look up and apeman growls "Wot yer lookin at?". Focking racist tw@.

I'll tell you what they were looking at, the result of a scientific experiment gone wrong by the look of it. If they had looked at me I'd have smiled and said hello and they'd have probably returned it. As it was we had to walk uncomfortably past with them thinking we were probably racist white scum too.

England - so proud. :|

Capital gains is a tax that affects the relatively wealthy. Unless you make a profit on your rental income or sale of the properties you won't have to pay it.

Taxing benefits would be bizzare and cost the taxpayer in extra administration costs.

Half the spactards I went to school with got houses at 16yrs old claiming they were estranged from their parents..then got some bird up the duff and then they alol got on smack and lived unhapilly ever after.

I know loads of people that I went to school with who have never worked a day...one example having 4 kids with three different lasses and they all have their own paid for council houses including him, all do a little bit of shoplifting and other dodgy crap and take pleanty of drugs at our expense.

He then went and knacked his liver from drinking but gets hundreds a month in dole for being an alcoholic!!!

The government pay you to be an alcoholic FFS!

I work but I spend a good hundred or more each week on booze..why aren't they paying me

It's these scumbuckets he's talking about not unfortunate people who got made redundant and found it hard to get other work.

If you fall into the prior category here I totally agree with Limecat.

ps: hope they stop all this disability benefit nonsense too...if someones on disability they are not counted as on jobseekers so the Labour government were encouraging it and getting doctors to bang people on disability to make their stats look good...I knew people in perfect health on that too....Sad when people who need it then can't get it cos they have a straight gp.

when i was at college etc i was working in the kitchen in the officers mess at a mod base and a waitress there asked to be sacked as she was up the duff and would get more in benefits due to this child than working full time on minimum wage.

what also annoys me is i no a girl 21 years old who moans like hell as she wants a bigger house to live in 2 kids different dads . and was moaning about the council on her face book . yet she has never had a job in her life or payed tax ! yet has the cheek to moan about a house she doesn't pay for......

i got made redundant 2 years back and got redundancy money of like 2 months wages and was told i wasn't aloud to sign on till that had run out ... the women on the phone said i shouldn't of told her i got redundancy !

i pay 600 pound a month in tax and for what some jumped up slut to get pregnant and me pay for her kids and house!

its like the government screw the hard working person in this country and reward the lazy!

rant over lol

Nice to see that so far almost every single promise made by the coalition government has already been broken.

I wonder if they even connected their proposals to keep Trident going with cancelling the loan to Sheffield Forgemasters? Interesting to see how that one pans out, considering thats Cleggs constituency. Also the pledge to develope British industry a complete load of crap, although hardly surprising considering the Tories record with British industry.

I particularly found it interesting how none of the axed projects had had any kind of consultation or even advanced notice from the government, instead effectively finding out when they watched the news!
