Low mileage Forged bottom end , PG1 Ti box with type B
Hi folks,
I have for sale a pretty awesome forged bottom end for a T16. Originally a 220 block.
Its covered circa 3000miles. Engine never leaked no oil, even the wicked oi leak corner. The following were fitted at time of build:
Arrow steel rods - £919.15
Custom Wiseco/ JE (the quite ones) 86mm forged pistons - £720
New crank - £144
All bearings - £94.80
Its got a new oil pump £236
Machining and balancing - £212
Zetec (im told) oil squirters machined into the block for extra piston cooling and lubing.
Last month it had a brand new idler pulley and spring at £66
Cambelt (if you want it) genuine - £36
New rear (behind the flywheel) crank seal
Also included is the sump and uprated headbolts of unknown origin but held down the head at 1.9 bar with no leaks from anywhere.
So were looking at a minimum of £2500 of extremely high quality parts. Id be looking for alot less than half of that, due to light marks on piston 4, everything else is perfect, spins over great, bores are perfect, still nice fresh honemarks etc.
Painted gold (but could obviously be repainted).
For serious enquiries and more information, please email me at wmswallis@aol.com

Oh, and a 620Ti short ratio (except 5th which is long on the ti box for cruising and fuel economy), everything about this box feels mint. No whines, no crunches, nothing, just laps up the power.Engineered/nuilt to the highest quality as with everything else on the car.
£250
£210 if you remove yourself.

I've seen a few cases of this now and wonder why people always say that you wont get that price as you only paid ex amount for it? at the end of the day it doesn't matter what you buy something for it's what you sell it for.
Does any one agree?

It doesnt matter what i bought the car for does it dude. My boss has left me a Ferarri 550 M in his will does that mean i should sell it for free?
But if you read the advert it says thats what the parts alone cost and that ill be selling it for much less than half the price of the parts alone.
PS - With the tax, the parts i needed just to get the car running to allow it to be driven home when i bought it, £2500 is what it cost me. Then add all of the money i paid when half the elctronics (that might add i didnt touch

Yes, i do. End of the day, the car was about its money, it needed a fair amount of work after i got it back, and i didnt have the money to do everything it needed doing. On my life i never bought the car with intention of breaking it. Phil (maestrovdp) will back me up on this, when i took him out in it both of us were grinning ear to ear, i bought a grands worth of PLX, subframes for recaros, an alarm fitted, £500 worth of silicone, £200 worth of cambelt fitting, £wheels, £900 worth of Gaz Gold coilovers. Noone does that if they bought a car just to break.

Neg, Im 28, hes 68, although most of the time id rather have him than the Ferarri, ive learnt alot from him about life, women, money etc.
Regards to the box, Phils expressed interest and has first dibs but no moneys changed hands.

Re: Low mileage Forged bottom end , PG1 Ti box with type B
I will chip in and say I'm secretly glad the 400 is no more. My maestro did not stand a chance against it!
Joking apart as Mark has already said we went out in this a few times, each time I broke out into a nervous adrenaline junky. The turbo would spool at 2.5, with high lift cams increasing the flow later and thereby giving even more mind twisting power this was finally a car I could see had a lot to sort out but it was a keeper.
I've seen Mark with a few cars now but this was in a different league. I have seen Mark more gutted than when we lifted the head but he has recently split from his wife
