Well I got in from work last night, swmbo was having her hair done. So I took the offending box into the garage, out of sight out of mind, and she never said a word!

So when's the next group buy?

Thanks for your efforts on this, top work!

Note:

Lower shock (middle bush and roll pin have to be ground away to almost flush with body of arm to fit)

Pics to follow. I have just successfully fitted one side

There also seems to be major difference of size between the bolt diameter and the tubes in the bushes.

Issue i found is the shock/strut fork/leg fouls the middle bush and roll pin. and no, it wont just open up

2nd last image shows how much has to be "trimmed" not pretty but as a result i have successfully fitted one side

Inner bolt, shock bolt, outer bolt ( hub) and the anti roll bar aswell

Sit back and wonder is it worth it?

Would you get away with pressing the bush out an swapping in a superflex out the old arm?

I just compared Honda and MGR bolt sizes, they are both 10mm so I assume the clearances are correct, it just seems odd that they fit like cobbler down a sleeve

Whipped one of my rear arms off just now for a comparison, original arm with a superflex bush is 41mm thick at the lower shock mounting and new lower control arm is 50mm at this point. Original arm has the bush at a slight angle whereas the new arm is straight but not sure that will make any difference?

Seems like you need to trim 10mm from the centre pin. Those bushes are possible 2 parts, removing 5mm from each of those would be the way to go as well.

Hacksaw solves all as far as I can see.

I'm just concerned that if there is no (very little) bush there then any vibration is going to transfer straight up the shock and into the car!
